That looked intentional.

I can't attest to who Phil inquired about and offered money too-- I'm not a fly on the wall in his office. All I can go on is the limited evidence available (we've talked about countless players that have upside and the only one we've heard Phil looked into was JaMychal Green per Marc berman's Twitter. And he didn't get him..Haven't heard anything about any other player we've been discussing here and I know that I've discussed quite a few alternatives... Yeah, some of these role players like Galloway would work on a team like Cleveland but in our dire situation, I want us to look at the highest-rated prospects available -- To me, we haven't done that. Anyone wanna explain to me how we're not at least getting a look a Alex Kirk right now instead of Lou Amundson?

Also how was that not a foul on Bargs drive with Love in the way.

Expansion Team

nixluva wrote:So we start off with Melo and hopefully a high draft pick, then we have to sign 3 more starting level players. Then you hope to develop some of your young prospects and you are on your way to building a solid team. That's the process in a nutshell. Now we have to let this play out and see what we can get.

1. Melo is coming off a injury and will be 31 years old. No one knows how long his rehab will take. It took Bernard King two years.

2. A high draft pick is no guarantee of an NBA starter. A college underclassman making the leap to the pros needs months, sometimes years, to figure it out. Everybody knows that. Even first round picks.

3. Signing three starters assumes they all will mesh perfectly as a team, which any serious basketball follower can guarantee requires time and trust, and sometimes never happens.. which is why trades are made.

It's difficult to say but they have their own internal view on players they think will fit. Phil and Clarence Gaines Jr. have a clear vision of the kind of player they want and i'm sure they've passed that on down the scouting dept. line. We have to see how things go this summer.

That's ok. Don't pull him after that. Stick with the kid. And find a way to get hm involved in the offense somehow....can't believe we can't see at least a little alexey shved.

FireWoodson @ 2/22/2015 2:49 PM
Bargnani is AWFUL!

See the last three trips for Knicks?
1. Bargnani takes the weakest shot in history. Even Breen had to comment on how lame it was.
2. Bargnani gets stripped of ball.
3. Bargnain doesn't even reach for a pass that is a foot away from him. Didn't even try!

Worst bust in NBA history. Minimal talent, no effort at all.
And he's on our team.

So what's your actual point here? All your doing is pointing out what could go wrong but that isn't a guarantee that is how it will play out. Also it's not about how fast his all comes together as if we have to be a title contender out of training camp next season. This is process of rebuilding. I'm sure what Phil would hope for is to put a solid starting lineup together for next year and let them jell over the course of the season.

We need to draft a player that can be a core part of the roster for the future. There's an element of luck involved in that but being in the top 4 this year should increase the chances of getting a top talent. We have enough money to go after good Free Agents as well. Players with the Skill and BB IQ to play in this system. That's really what it's all about.

Sangfroid @ 2/22/2015 2:53 PM
Nice dunk JR. You're still a bum...
Finestrg @ 2/22/2015 2:55 PM
I don't know whether to laugh or puke watching Shump and jr celebrate with LeBron like that. Lebron's been a douchebag all game--shimying after finishing, slamming the ball down on the baseline, the foul on Calderon up 30. He's an easy guy to dislike. Dude couldn't hold a candle to Michael Jordan. That's a fact jack!

After JR's admission of dogging it and Shump's lackof progress for 3+ years, a 2ndrounder was all they're worth
