That is a great move by Phil. I think this kid is the star of the draft
Agreed I want Russell above all.
Russell was having a so so game then pulls his hamstring.
Can we live!!!

He's only in Ohio because he visiting his former buddy on the Knicks, Ohio resident, Bill Hosket, who played at Ohio State in the 60's and was on the 69/70 Knicks championship team.

Wow, the bar is low for Phil. It's a great job to be scouting one of the top 5 prospects in this year's draft?
I believe Russell is the next Curry
Phil ins't gonna be going nuts to fly around and see very kid, but he's at least seen OK4 and Russell, two of the most likely targets. The real good look will be in the NCAA, the Combine and Private workouts. There's a lot more ahead guys we need to pace ourselves and give Phil a break with this stuff. It's like he can't win. If he doesn't go see an players then they'd be all over him for that. If he goes people still have ish to say.

Why would he even ask that question? He must have never seen this kid play!

If he did not do so, some here would have criticized him. He attended the game when Okafor played in the garden.

They are entirely different players, both physically and on the court, and unlike Curry, Russell has been on the radar as a top pick for much of the year, so he is not going to sneak up into the lottery.
You supplied us with a provocative "topic sentence," but no supporting information. Got to do better than that when comparing them.

And he should get criticized. Scouting potential lottery picks when you have a lottery pick is the bare minimum not something for praise.

Don't know much about Nebraska, except that they have a losing record.
If I was Phil I would want to see the of the guys I might draft multiple times, but at least once against a team with players that might challenge the guy you are scouting.
So nobody saw the game then because D'Angelo Russell seemed to be hurt all game and then tweaked a hamstring and asked to be called out. He basically had his worse game in front of Phil Jackson.
There are scouts and Video with breakdown and all the knicks front office are in on it. It not "wheres phil or where isn't he".........Jeeez.....

He played some significant minutes and showed a little of what he can do, or does not do, on both ends of the court.
As I mentioned above, it would have been nice if Phil had seen him up against stiffer competition than Nebraska, but as someone said, the Knicks will have a lot of video on the kid, as well as other scouts who have seen him this year.
Hope he is at the Kentucky game on Saturday.

I agree D.Russell can be a star next level
Very fast in today's NBA, built for NBA hoops
As long as we are top 3 I'm happy. Towns, okafor, and Russell are all great picks.
