Who? Kaminsky? Dude has very polished game for his height. Olynyk is a in the mold of Tyler Hansborogh.

callmened @ 5/1/2015 1:34 PM
Olynyk is extremely polished. 3pt range and can beat u off the dribble. He's a face stretch 4. Psycho t is just a garbage man hard worker
GustavBahler @ 5/1/2015 1:35 PM
Gasol is more of a back to the basket type of player, while Kaminsky likes to try and beat his defender off the dribble. Kaminsky has a great motor, really gets into the game, and moves well for a unathletic big. Doesnt have to be on Gasol's level to be a good fit. I know he would get the Garden fired up and his teammates, very passionate about the game.

If we had pick #4 and I could pick up Kaminsky AND Christian Wood by trading down--I would "consider" doing it. If I could get the Lakers 5 27 and 34 for 3 Id consider it.

I would choose Kaminsky and Jerian Grant

Kaminsky has a great handle for his size. Limited defensively. I'd go with WCS before I select Kaminsky. But we're going to be top 5 so there will be better options for us. Thankfully.

At least Kaminsky isn't bad defensively as Okafor

WCS is limited offensively and Kaminsky played well against him.

NumberTwoPencil @ 5/1/2015 2:20 PM
In short: Not quite Gasol. However, I'd be delighted if Kaminsky ends up a Knick. He may or may not be a starter but in a few years, he'll probably be a solid bench player.

I see a slightly improved Boris Diaw
callmened @ 5/1/2015 3:11 PM
Not as strong a passer rebounder or post player as donuts diaw is in the post

Unless Stein has some significant offensive talent that has been held in check because of the KU system, I would take Kaminsky, and I think Jackson might want him, too.

I thought Kaminsky really held his own against the bigs he faced in his final two college games.

He has shown some moves in the post, is a pretty good passer, and has a lot of range on his shot.

I would be interested to see how he is training for the pre-draft workouts. He could use some extra strength- wonder if he works this.

Hell, for all we know Phil has crush on Kaminsky as a player and is keeping his feelings about him hidden.

Naw, Olynyk is a faceup 5 who's game presents the same positive d and negatives of Kaminsky. Who do they guard? Who do you pair them with in the frontcourt? I think Kaminsky can be a little better than Kelly, but does that equal full-time starter? Star?

exactly

No. Towns reminds me of Pau.

Kaminsky has little in common with Pau. Poorer rebounder, poorer defender. Pau doesn't have 3 pt range.

His game is like Mehmet Okur's.

That is not a bad comparison neither. I think Kaminsky is more agile with a better handle. I've never seen Mehmet Okur, Olynyk, or Spencer Hawes run down the court like a point guard and throw alleys like this.

He definitely improved his rebounding and many are sleeping on his work ethic. Kaminsky obviously needs to improve his defense but he has shown that he has good defensive instincts and isn't lackadaisical like Okafor is.

Wonder if Towns can ever be the passer Pau is, although at his age he has a lot of time to improve.

As someone pointed out, Kaminsky might have more agility, but Okur was a a pretty good player who played on some good Utah teams.

Could you live with a more mobile Okur on the Knicks if we fell to 5 and took Kaminsky?

Pau Gasol's versatility and ability to play as a LEGIT center with a midrange game and ability to score in the post/mid range/and faciltiate is a great fit
Gasol leads the enitre league in double doubles this season
Is he Shaq, no, but he was very important to Kobe and The Laker's 2 rings they won with him, and were legit title contenders when they had talent
Had Ariza stayed instead of MWP or with him, I think Lakers would have won at least 1 more ring
