Wow, 14 pages and counting. Some of Splat's posts of late have been inspired in my opinion — Somber Sonnets. However he got kinda scary psycho attack dog on nixluva — who I totally respect here, he's just living his handle 100% — and I started tuning some of those threads out. I'm glad to hear that Splat realizes the error of his ways there but hope this thread doesn't just fan something there that was barely embers at this point. So I voted that Splat not be banned. The board is not what it used to be, but the Internet has changed a lot since we had Jamal Crawford and Zach Randolph. We will probably never go back to those halcyon days.

This is a moronic thread. Splat should stay put. Who cares what another poster's opinion is. If you don't like it, don't effing read it. As long as he doesn't go off the reservation and get racist or something like that, I got no problem with his posts.

I'm surprised fish's grudge is so strong that he actually consigned this thread regardless of the comments made by other respected posters who for the most part feel splat doesn't deserve this and we should all move on and use the ignore feature if difference of opinion really irks people.

I do miss the old posters, and I'm not really sure I enjoy these boards as much as I used to (a lot less warm, friendly and funny), but unfortunately this is the state of the internet these days- go to any message board for anything you like and you'll find the people who post the most are the ones blasting the s*** out of everything about it. If it's not being done in a funny way, or it's just done over and over again, I just feel drained reading it- it ain't a pleasant experience.

I've started using the ignore feature- didn't used to believe in it, but now I use it, and then, depending on whether I feel up to it I can choose whether I can be arsed to read some peoples posts.

It has nothing to do with the fact the knicks continue to suck all these years later?

I get that we're all fed up and irritable, because the last decade has been mainly s***- and I find it funny when people are funny with their criticisms and feelings of doom , but when it's just done seriously, over and over again, and anything else is poo-pooed, it's just not enjoyable to read. It's boring enough when things are dire with the Knicks, without us all talking about it in a boring way.

Do I think Splat should be banned? There is hope for him- I take issue when he crosses the line and starts projecting stuff onto others, or starts calling people idiots because they don't agree with him. If he can keep that in check then there's no reason really to ban him.

I also get where EnySpree is coming from though- I think he's just fed up of reading posts by people who seemingly hate everything about the team and want them to fail- like I said, that kind of monotone is draining on top of all the losing.

Hater police are the ones who have shown the greatest inability to work things out. This is their chance or is it so presumptuous of me to think people are capable of hashing things out?

I mean you posted the circle jerk comment the other day. Do you really think that contributes anything? I have an opinion about the team or Melo or whatever I want and if you were able to tell me why I'm wrong that is up to you. But if you only take potshots how can I take you seriously? Its a question, not an insult, btw
