If LeBron and Kyre start clicking and don't win it all, do they even want Love back at 22.5 mil per in 2016???..

all stats no impact? no such thing ... and makes no sense.
I would pass on love ... too expensive and he certainly raised alarms this year.
It'll be interesting to see where the nba writers rank him for next season- going into this year they had him as the best PF!

tough call ... they sort of went all in by trading Wiggins. They are going to pay him.
Outside of the one year he only played in 18 games he have averaged 70 games a year.
This year he has not played in 3.
Statistically he is off so one can say his numbers were inflated on a losing team. I'll give anyone that.
1st thing I ask myself is he a triangle player? Defensely it seems he does better as a 4, not the 5.
So If I want him, I play him at the 4 and damn well make sure I have a big to put with him with. So its really who we draft will tell the tale of free agency.
Also, lets see how Cavs fair in the playoffs. Win it all he might be inclined to move.
Yeah..Think the playoffs tells the story with Love...

even if they do well in the playoffs, it may be despite him. He does not seem to fit in there. Lots of one on one player with shaky team play.

Correct..That's a big issue, like OKC, it's all one on one at this point...They are playing I am better than you basketball..They need Love in the mix to be a better team...Love can pass, so utilize it...Crazy..But If Love doesn't show up in the playoffs, he either leaves or they may not resign him...I would imagine there will be other max guys wanting a shot to win it all with LeBron and Kyre..That Wiggins trade not looking so good now..Didn't think I would have ever thought that..Not this soon anyway..

Its not just that they do not integrate Love (which they don't), he seems to have been injured this year. His form still looks good but he was missing wide open shots all season. He has been doing better of late with his shooting but something seems wrong.
Cleveland does not seem like the place for him either way and I think that he leaves.
As bad as he has been, he still played way above average unless people consider everything that he does "empty". SMH

pads his rebounding stats, doesnt make guys better, zero impact on defense. He's a good ball mover, does a decent job getting to the line. He's a nice #3 player. He's not nearly as good as Bosh who is clearly a #2 player. He doesnt take over games, gets hurt all the time also...
empty stats.. there sure is such a thing. Remember David Lee's last season before he got paid? 20/12 and shot 55% and thats better than most seasons Love has had.
Who's better? Lee or Love?? Funny how most universally accept Love as a max guy but Lee isnt even close.

Love is better than Lee. I don't know if I would pay him the max though.
Minny went from a 40 win team (in the west) to a 14 win team.
His defense is definitely not good.
He is one of the best rebounders in the game (pad or not ... how do you decide what rebounds are pad boards?)
He is extremely efficient and is a stretch 4 which opens up the floor in a big way.
He is also a very good passer when asked to facilitate. This year he is just a catch and shoot decoy.
Who in minny did you want him to make (even) better? Should that team have gone to the playoffs?

Whether or not he is the real deal or just a stat guy..Can he stand the pressure of expectations...He will at some point have to step up and will he??..It will determine his status going forward as a player in this league...Is he a max guy or not??..Can he take over meaningful games and carry a team??..We will see..
Kevin Love is in a perfect position. He is NO 1st or 2nd star type despite gaudy stats at Minnesota. hes at a more efficient stat level now as third chicken and fits the role of mobile 4 well. If a team thinks they win bg with K Love is the dominant player go look at Minnesota records when he was there. He likes hanging out on the 3 pt line a LOT.
helloharv wrote:If we decide to go all in this summer and not wait until next ....we could try to land Dragic and instantly have a very good playoff team.Dragic
Timmy or ?
Melo
Love
Okafor or Towns
that is huge improvement
We are not getting Dargic--Miami did not give up 2#1 for him to leave?

If I was a Freudian I might question this declaration.

this is far from the truth.
Riley is keeping Dragic. Love is vastly overpriced for what he brings. He is not a good mix with Melo defensively.
Diana Ross and I agree:
Say no to Love.
The thing about Cleveland is that Lebron is probably going to give Tristan near $16m so if you are not going to use Love like he needs to he will just be wasted. It would be better to go after a Millsap or try to make a trade for Ryan Anderson, Ilyasova(NY should try), or maybe Gallinari.
You can't have Kevin Love and Anthony playing together on the defensive end. One or the other- fine.
Neither of them moves much on offense- how would this impact the Triangle.
I think if they get Love, they'd have to trade their lotto pick to do it. Which makes me like the idea even less than the idea of signing him outright. No thanks.
Though I absolutely think Love is gone from Cleveland and he'll be a Laker or Knick next season.
helloharv wrote:Do you agree or disagree that he is our best chance to land a big name free agent this summer. He isn't getting many shots with Kyrie and LBJ scoring 30 every night and he is sitting at crunch time. We need to bring him in so he can be our 1st or 2nd option every time down the floor.
If we get Towns - Love fits really nicely. You surround Melo with 2 outstanding passing/shooting/rebounding bigs. Love would be really nice in triangle as well.
