They are playing a roster of bottom dwellers and Dleague guys looking for homes in the NBA, and a high pick isnt the only need for this season. We need players for next year. We only have one draft pick and we arent signing 8 FAs. We need to find guys who can play. If that process yields a few wins so be it. It would be tough to finish 4th after being worst all year but Ill cross that road when we get there. I understand the frustration and Jordan Hill comments but this is different.

The Curry loss was more about how we mishandled that draft, then the meaningless games we won. We should have done what other smart teams do. Make Curry a promise, kick him and his agent some cheddar and have him shut down workouts with a "bad ankle" like the Suns did with Amare. Instead we let everyone in the BB world know we love him and want to pick him. Idiots

Fish, anyway you look at it those meaningless wins will haunt this team, I like the idea of being guaranteed a four pick. I pray they don't screw the pouch and win just enough to once again miss out. For me there is only two players that I want out of this draft and it's OK4 and Mudiay.

Add towns and Russell and there are basically 4 players that can change the franchise.

Im in the camp we get the odds and land a top 3.

I'm in the camp that says that we have a 64.3% chance that you will be in the right camp.

Damn you and your metrics!

We play the twolves and sizes, I think the lakers play them both twice- anyone know if the twolves and sizes play each other before the season is up? We badly need to lose those two games.
FistOfOakley @ 3/18/2015 3:02 PM
they don't...

Then we'll have to hope the Lakers tank is the mightiest of them all- they need this years pick, and only keep it if it's top 5, so it's not like they lack the incentive

FistOfOakley @ 3/18/2015 3:49 PM
that also works against us... because if we win these games... dropping to #4 is in play...

dropping to 4 is always in play even if we end up with the worst record.

Every slot we drop gives us a 10% greater chance to fall out of the top 4 (starting at 35%)

FistOfOakley @ 3/18/2015 4:16 PM
i meant 4th worst record.. that would mean worst case is the #7 pick which.. after having to endure this season would be a major letdown...

that would be an epic disaster

This team can win only by accident...
Too many thing should go right... like in Spurs game.
Accidents happen... but not so often.

Going into this week, the tank-tastic Philadelphia 76ers had claimed either last or second-to-last place every time we issued our rankings. But the Minnesota Timberwolves have now dipped below Philly (but not the Knicks!), thanks to day-to-day injury statuses for Ricky Rubio and Nikola Pekovic — and more playing time for the low-rated trio of Justin Hamilton, Chase Budinger and Zach LaVine. As an aside: How bad has LaVine (who carries an NBA-worst short-term RPM rating of -7.1) been as a rookie this season? He’s not quite as far from the mean in a negative direction as LeBron James is in the positive direction (+8.9), but LaVine is roughly as far from zero (in the opposite direction) as Chris Paul (+7.0) and Kawhi Leonard (+6.8)!

Last night's win was no accident, and the Knicks are not in tank mode. We've got a great bunch of guys here, who all hope they can be on the team next year and are working hard to prove they should be part of the winning culture Phil is beginning to build up.

Pistons, after a fine comeback victory at home vs Memphis, lose at Philly, which will now have 16 victories.
FistOfOakley @ 3/18/2015 10:05 PM
yea that was a huge break... although it looked like noel left the game with an injury....

Tonight is almost like a playoff game but in reverse.

yea no kidding... we need THjr and his 3x a week 3-15 shooting outings. Shved and Galloway have totally missed the memo that they arent supposed to be winning and playing well. At least Phili lost last night.
