I watched the game and they were doubling OK4 hard and aggressively most of the game. While it's true that they lacked any bigs who could bang with him, to be honest he's so big and strong that very few college bigs have been able to slow him down. He also moves so well with quickness and agility. He's able to dribble out of doubles as well. Dude is LEGIT.

Tim came into the league avg near 40 min played a game. That helped him put up more stats but per 36 Robinson was putting up similar and better numbers while being more efficient.where are you going with this yellow?
Proof that Robinson was still pretty dominant, but he was allowed to play less.
Basically this. Robinson really didn't give the keys over to Duncan like most people think. I am not comparing OK4 to Duncan or Melo to Robinson. Just stating that the the Robinson handing over the keys narrative is a little off.
Agreed, it's a comparison that is way off. Rather ridiculous to make especially if a fan hopes the knicks win anytime soon. In fans eyes Robinson was the Spurs until he retired....still is.

Towns still has the same high ceiling potential on both ends, with better defense.
Russell is Russell....PG / SG.
Any 3 works for me.....Towns is an intriguing prospect. And if OK4 can become a rim protector (Thats a big if) then he's a beast on both ends.
Are we drafting this pick to replace Melo or play with Melo?

I've seen all I need to see from OK4.....He's not going to change overnight. He's a potential franchise player. Big hands, footwork, master in the post. Commands double teams. I already know this. Same rim protection issues as well. And same issues when playing someone his height and size, which are most NBA centers. Lateral movement is too slow on defense for quick PF's.
Very solid player and worth a trade to get a mid to low first round pick.....Hope him or some of the other freshmens drop, do to the big Euro push we have every year.
Need more Winslows or Stanley Johnson on our team....Less THj and Calderon.
Not 1 team would trade the number 1 pick for Carmelo TAKING AWAY the salary issue NOT 1. This is a franchise pivot player and hes 12 years younger than melo.
Funnier stuff. Okaor is so much more skllis than eddy curry heck he hit mor mi range js today than curry did in his career every see curry dribble out of a double team out to the 3 pt line than break his man down with the dribble to score? Eddy curry was a poor mans Shaquille who had athletic ability and size to dunk anything at the rim. This is a unique player very advanced both physically and skill wise. Really it wouldn't let's see hoe ok can help melo it's the other way around

Injured Melo I ask again?
What if you needed 1 guy for the next 3 years (no injuries) at 10 million per? You take Ok4? You think that he is a better player at this point than a healthy Melo?

If each player made 1 dollar id pick okafor100/100 times. In 2 years okafor will be an unstoppable force and melo will be winding down his injury filled last season.

Ok ... lets say one year ... next year?
I asked about a scenario where melo was not hurt. Of course at melo's age its quite risky ... that is why the contract was stupid.
Injury free, melo is 10,000 times better than Ok4 (right now)

If I were in your conference I'd sign three unskilled bigs just to foul his ass. Good looking kicking out to brick hardaway.
