he is not a leader yet certainly makes sure that he has a say in personnel decisions as stupid as they are.
Melo will make suggestions but no one takes him seriously. You have to have the pulse of the team to make suggestions that are valid. Melo doesn't have a pulse of his team such as a LeBron, Jordan or Magic Johnson would of his team.
He should not have anymore ... I hope that is the case just not convinced that it is.

Actually in order to get Melo to re-sign, Phil had to throw some serious money at him. Also, there's a big difference between Phil sharing who he's going to draft with Melo and Phil asking for Melo's stamp of approval on who he's going to draft.

This would be quite possible. Jackson could even ask Anthony what he thinks about a group of players he will be considering.
You figure that Anthony has been watching the NCAA games and how certain players are doing.
You don't have to ask for Anthony's blessing on any particular guy, but maybe he has some thoughts worth listening to.
I'm not an Anthony fanboy, but if I was in Phil's shoes I would want to hear as many thoughts about potential draftees as I could.
