Knicks · Myles Turner in draft (page 1)

Jees this will truly be a flip of the coin. You'd think he could be a good player at 6-11 250+ and then he has sckd in college for the most part.
then you look up and his stats and Karl Towns stats are basically the same. This will be a HARD projection player. He has some nice skills but he is awkward as well.

I've liked what I've seen out of Turner, however limited. If given the choice between Karl Towns or Myles Turner and multiple assets/picks, I go with the latter option. I know it isn't the popular opinion but that's why people call it an opinion rather than a fact. From what I've heard about Turner, however, there is some concern about his running and the kind of stress it puts on his body. Certain scouts are afraid that he'll develop injuries in his legs unless he fixes his form, hence the drop to late lottery. For me, this is a catch-22 because when I look at Karl Towns' physique, I see a walking injury waiting to happen. Top-heavy bigs with seemingly weak legs don't have particularly long shelf-lives (see Andrew Bynum, Greg Oden, Brook Lopez, etc.).

I like him a lot. You asked a few weeks ago for a sleeper pick after the top 5 and I mentioned Turner. He could be something close to Serge Ibaka maybe -- a big 6'10"+ guy that can block shots, rebound with that size and also shoot with some range. His all-around offensive skills should only continue to get sharper once he hits the NBA and further develops.
