Begley mentioned on ESPN that others in the FO are waiting for the other shoe to drop. It seems Phil was willing to give some of these guys he was handed a year to evaluate, and I have no problem with that. Its the right way to do things. There is no need to clean house for the sake of cleaning house. Keep them a year, tell them your expectations and evaluate. If they arent in line with what you want to do you make changes. Anyone in the corp world has seen this over and over again.

That could have been Dolan's call. Phil wanted to replace the medical staff and was rebuffed. I would be very surprised if he had wanted to stop there.
