Not sure if he is a guy the Knicks should take a run at. If Calderon was part of the deal I think it would be worth taking a chance on him.
risk/reward... its a one year deal left for Lance, so Calderon would be a salary dump if nothing else.
It would also depend on who else is here. A troubled Lance in NY doesnt seem like a great fit. DNP.. ouch
Yea we discussed this a few weeks ago especially for Calderon. He might be able to revive his career in this system. Playing the Scottie Pippen role. He defends, good passer, rebounder and can hit big 3's.
Great fall Acl option if we can't get Butler
C Towns
PF Monroe
SF Melo
SG Butler/Stephenson
PG Svhed
Melo might be able to play some SG with Lance at SF
His TS had me fainting
who shoots 16% from 3???
He wouldn't listen to Jordan or Bird, pass.
He is a good defender tho but his shooting is unbelivable terrible.

Woah how is that even possible?
What did he shoot in Indy from 3?
I would take a chance on Stephenson
He blossomed in Indy because they had great outside shooting and it opened up the lanes.
Is this gonna happen here?
Is he disciplined to trianglulate?
Is he mature and handle his business "coming home"? Lots of personal pressure.
WE all good as fans to "at the right price" take flyers on these guys but its never that easy.
On the surface I'd say no, but if he wants to find his inner zen and rub budda's belly than maybe he can fulfil his potential.
Afterall, its a contract year!
Shades of JR smith with this guy!
Lance could be that "big triangle PG"

36%. his TS is 41% which is well below league standard. If it was just for calderon to do a swap I would do it.

Yea Lance & Svhed -> Pippen & Harper
If it's ride us of Calderon its a no brainer

Hire Shaw, he is familiar with Lance; he can help revive lance's career
Can he be the reverse JR? For Jose and picks I'd do it. I might even throw in THjr

thats actually pretty good... Jose/THjr for Lance and a first rounder. Worth a shot. We get a pick (I hate THjr) and dump Jose's salary and hope like hell Lance takes this seriously

Fishmike, why do you truly hate THJ?

Great point. Does Shaw come as just an assistant though? I think Rambis is the lead assistant.

Reassign Fisher to replace Mills who is worthless in that position. Fisher is well regarded around the league; he is best suited to be a front office dude. Bring Shaw to coach the team; he is known to be able to help develop young talent.
After all, fisher is earning $5 millions per year, Phil can order him to do as he pleases. Don't fire him, use him in the right capacity

He comes as Stephansons personal advocate and spiritual coach.
This guy comes straight up for Calderon. No sweetner, no "and we'll throw in 6 months of Satilite radio!"..............
Lance is a problem and he comes for the opportunity to shine. He finds salvation in the triangle or he will languish in mediocrity with teams not wanting him because he won't be happy on the bench.
Coney Island kids do well in China I hear.
