No way would I spend 8-9 MM on a current nba sg Find our own for cheap
If we were Ricky Ledo is the guy.
I thought the same way when we had Shumpert and JR Smith.

JR wasn't really a player we developed and he was going to be expensive when he picked up his option. Shump was a tough call but I think we needed to move on from him. He was going to cost a bit too much next year. He's in a good situation for him now. Hopefully we can develop another young SG who fits better.
How about Khris Middleton? turns 24 in august but already a 3 yr nba vet. 6'7 225 with a 41% 3pt for his career. brings pretty good perimeter D as well.
how do you grow SGs on trees? lol
im a big fan of middleton but milwaukee will keep him. he'll probably get $10 mill
i vote we go after D. Green...hes an adequate defender, knock down shooter and a winner of course.
id settle for gerald green but he reminds me of JR
can mudiay shoot? do we know much about him besides youtoube mixtapes? im not saying hes a bad player but there are too many question marks in my opinion. shooting and decision making at the top

There are some pretty in depth videos breaking down Mudiay's game from his time in China. It's really good stuff. But you have to put in perspective that he was 18 doing this in a pro league and he just turned 19 in March!!! This kid has so much upside it's not even funny. Shooting is one thing that many guards have been able to improve on after getting into the NBA. His shot just needs some technical tweaks from what i've seen. He's a very good PG already. I think we have some great options in this draft and I wouldn't be unhappy with either of OK4, Towns, Mudiay or Russell.

And leave our front court with Bargs and Lou, no thank you. It would be much easier to develop Ledo and Galloway
hey im not sayin mudiay is bad or wont be good...its just to me he has question marks. all these kids have question marks but it doesnt help my comfort zone if i cant watch you play to get a feel
Draft Russell....Mudiay is more of a PG with SG size. Not sure about his defense, but he has defensive potential for his size and quickness.
Russell is a legit SG with SG size and PG passing skills. Not sure about his defense, but he's better than Calderon. If you want to grown a SG, Russell is your man.

That is what FA is for. You can get your bigs there. Quality ones at that Kanter, Gasol, Monroe there is plenty to choose from.

I like Russell but he lacks speed and athleticism. His defense will suffer in the NBA lacks the quickness needed. As you saw he wasn't to difficult to shut down. He is a weak finisher do to his lack of explosion.

he's too fat for briggs

But the potential is there.....He seems like the mature type to improve on his weaknesses. But thats the thing about drafting freshmens.....They are not finish products, so you have to hope the reward out weighs the risk.

Agreed, but you can only improve speed and athleticism so much. Honestly speaking he is a slower version of Dragic.

But next week I'll change my mind again depending on which player has a career high in some given game. I reserve the right to keep changing my mind and if ever challenged on my logic, I'll just point out how wrong other people are for not thinking like me.
Every post from you is an attempt to be personal and nasty. I'm sure I could post negative stuff about others as well but I'm not like that in real life I actually have a sliver of integrity and class.
This is the same concept I have said 29 times already. I've posted one name will barton for heap and to but 2nd round draft picks in what will be an unprecedented amount of guard talent that could really help the knicks.
By the way my name is Eric Naarden I have homes in madison lyme and westbrook c t which I can be fiund in any on any certain day. I'm on facebook so you can get a glimpse of what I look like my wifes almost 5-4 so you can kind of get a notion of the size of the person u r talking to
im gonna fb friend you BRIGGS!
its all good. we all have different opinions here. we just need to respect them

That's fine I've been here 13 years and I've rarely said much negative to anyone. I can take a ribbing like anyone else that's all good. But this guy rosen has been undue nasty towards me and each person has a punk level they will hit. I undertstand mr rosen is in his 70s and maybe his ensure is not settling well in his belly but that doesn't give u a blank check to be an arsehole.

You mean like this, Freakshow?
You change your mind every 3-5 days about trade scenarios and player targets and team building methodology. What about that isn't true? Most of them are driven by players who are recently having a strong stretch of play and high production. Stuckey, Middleton, Kanter, do I need to go on? What part of that isn't true? When others say things like several season of a guy like Kanter haven't shown he's a good passer or defender or that his production might not translate in a different team/circumstance, you say those people are wrong, and look at the guys age and his recent play. What part of that isn't true?
I don't need to make you look stupid Briggs, you make yourself look stupid, all the time. Which is perfectly ok, callmened is right, we are all entitled to an opinion. Except you are such a gigantic dick to everyone about yours. If you want to pose a different thread five times a day about some rookie you like, or some trade you want, if it amuses you, so be it. But you can't seem to do without the general douchebaggery in tow.
I think kanter is going to be a superstar in this league--I think the Knicks would be better off swinging for the fences with him while OKC may have potential fiscal problems.. And thats my last answer to you
