Knicks · Phil Jackson--defense wins (page 2)

A page of posts and not one mention of dumping Felton on Dallas. Great analysis there.

Jose doesn't get hurt and instead spends the season hitting 40% of his threes and suddenly nobody's whining about the 7 million dollars a year with an expanded cap, instead of watching NBDL developmental projects.

And Phil was still defending the trade just a few days ago. Mentioning Tyson Chandler's defensive passion is not the same thing as calling the trade of a 30 something injury prone center and current locker room cancer doo doo.

Give it time. It will happen. It always does.

If you are playing the last two minutes of agame who do u want in there? It's hard to have a discussion w u because I don't think u watch much but rather go by numbers.

I watch far more NBA than you do. And, I have watched almost all Knick games this year (as sad as that sounds).

You sound like you watch much more college. Perhaps you are remembering NC Felton.

I do use numbers and I use that in conjunction with my eye tests.

You sound like you don't really look at numbers and place too much weight in your own perception and you don't seem to give weight to people who may know more than you or to professional opinions. You dismiss it as if an opinion is different than your then it is PLAIN WRONG.

I don't see you ever posting data findings on players or much analytical insight other than you super eyes.

As with others here, you are playing Monday Morning QB. Tyson was oft injured and wanted out and this reflected in his play with the Knicks last year. Felton was terrible last year and was an off the court distraction. Phil took a chance and made a trade with two guys who would not be in the Knicks future plans anyway. It hasn't worked out for the Knicks (yet - depending on if Early, Thanesis work out or not over time)....it happens....move on.

Yes, Ray is probably a much better shot with a 9mm.

BRIGGS, I love your draft threads, but please, move on from this trade.

BRIGGS, did you just tell mreinman that he doesn't know anything because he goes by the numbers and then you quote numbers?

Please tell us when you saw with your eyes that Calderone was ranked dead last in the league as a PG.

points? Really dude?

Who has better career numbers?

They both suck azz on defense

nixluva @ 4/13/2015 4:57 PM
Jose got hurt and old in a hurry, what is Felton's excuse? Phil gave it a shot and it didn't work. He's not the only GM that has taken a chance and seen it not work out. I'm pretty sure more was expected of Lance Stephenson. It's unfortunate but it happens. Jose came of a very good season and playoffs last year. Perhaps he just hit the career wall. Sometimes guys get old suddenly. My guess is that Phil stretches him because it's the only sensible thing if he can't trade him.
knickscity @ 4/13/2015 5:57 PM
Calderon has always been on teams that suck. He is a reason why. been saying it since we acquired him. He is old, only a matter of time before his body and game caught up. Phil admitted he couldnt move him since nobody wants him.

He is garbage....waive his ass.

TPercy @ 4/13/2015 7:29 PM
Felton vs Calderon isn't even comparable.Calderon wins because he can atleast shoot alot better than him. Calderon was never a starting PG. He would make a very good reserve 2nd/3rd string PG on a good team.

Yeah, that may be true, but I majored in Chinese arithmetic. Plus I listen to alot of basketball. Ray even sounds worse than Calderone.

Name one PG in China that's not better than Felton.
