This is a perfect example of teams being much better off with a spread offense and opening up the court when a bug lug goes out.
Drummomd and Monroe both occupy the same space on the floor. That's why you need a Towns of someone similar next to him that can open up the floor
you are forgetting that Melo is a ball hog and loves (holding) the ball down there. If towns wants touches for experience he will need to go into the locker room during games and play NBA Jam.
I'm operating with the assumption that Melo will finally somewhat buy in to a team concept

ah ... and then we can maybe win 50 games and start to develop players and a system.
I'm operating with the assumption that Melo will ... uh ... be melo

Shooting down anything the Knicks are going to do with Melo hate is getting a bit old.

The way Melo plays has a lot to do with what kind of player we think in needed/not needed on this team.
My only concern with my dream team is we still need a playmaking guard who will kept the ball out of Melo's hands and kept Melo from pounding the ball and ignoring his teammates. Svhed might be adequate but he needs to shoot better. That's where a Lance Stephenson or butler would help. Or Mudiay/Russell/Winslow

c'mon man! Lance Stephenson will be that guy?? You are better than that.

He is a playmaker from the 2 spot. Gotta hope that he gets back to playing like he did for Vogel in Indiana. Sometimes you have to take risks if there are no other options. You have to hope that he would be able to handle coming home to New York as well. Just throwing it out there

JR smith is also a playmaking 2 guard. Can we be done with da boneheads?

Maybe try to make every third post about how bad Melo is.
If Charlotte takes Calderon/THJ off our hands wouldn't you prefer Stephenson who at least has upside and defends?

I would. That is pretty much a no risk high rewards move in my opinion. I do think Jose looks a lot better if he is still in NY with different teammates.

JR IS A PLAYMAKING SG is a bit of a stretch. Stephenson won't jack up 20 shots and hit only 3 and we know what JR is. An inconsistent party animal. We don't know what Stephenson can become yet

I want high character guys who I know have their head on straight and will bring it ever day and does not do Soaps.

Not defensively. He will be eaten alive again next year and a year older. And injury prone. The only question is why would Charlotte do this

have you seen how Lance has played this year? Could you get worse? Will this help our shaky culture? Does Fisher need another challenge?

I think you can get by with one nutcase as long as you have talent elsewhere and they keep him in check. I believe It's the Rodman rule

Who knows, it would be a trial run and if he doesn't work out he is gone, clearing cap space that Calderon would take up
