Brook's presence on the floor and sheer energy is infectious. He is just not good against certain bigs

Don't let Robin hear you call him that, he might go all mascot on you.

Sounds like a brother thing both seem to be part of old NBA bigs.. With teams going for speed and small ball guys like brook and robin are fading fast

Most teams still play slow ball in the playoffs, in part because of the grind. Way too early to call the Lopez brothers dinosaurs IMO.

We'd be better off with Dray maybe but did not know that dray wanted to come here.

all of our bigs have taken a monster efficiency hit from prev years or career avg's.

Yeah, it might be more accurate to re-word Briggs statement: The triangle system has been a bust for Lopez.

One thing that has been missing for all these players is a competent PG who can take the pressure off the rest of the team when necessary. PG after PG who cant take it to the rim, and dish to the big men, if necessary. Grant was doing it early in the season, and got away from it. When Grant was playing the point well he made the bigs look good. Lopez had Lillard in Portland, we have Calderon starting.

that may be part of it but certainly not the whole story.

I agree. I am suggesting however that a good PG would go a long way towards getting everyone on the same page. I understand the triangle isnt PG dependent, but it doesnt mean that a team can thrive with a subpar player at that postion either.
Our coach is so bad, it is hard to evaluate our players

It's not the coach....it's Phils triangle presences that ties Fishers hands.
If Fisher was at Golden State, without his mentor hanging over his head, he would play to his strength.
But Fisher continues to find ways to play centers that were similar to Phil's skill set. The problem is those centers only works when they are 4 other athletic freaks around them. And they have an offensive skill set. Lopez doesn't provide any offense, so it's like playing 4 on 5....It's easy for any team to guard 4 players.....

None of them were considered that good to begin with. We don't have enough quality up front to impose our will on teams. Need another productive big to do that.
Would like a hybrid of both small ball and tri post. This would allow us to be a complete team.

Phil thought the triangle would improve Lopez offensive game, to go with his solid rim protection defense. He also didn't think KP was ready to be our starting center and already had the rim protection skills as a 2 way player. The question is when will Phil admit his fault and force Fisher to make a change. Or will he let his stubbornness get in the way of a potential playoff team.

Are you so sure of that? Fisher has yet to anything as a coach to prove that he is deserving of the position. I would love to see what Rambis can do at this point

With Phil as the coach, this roster would be a contender.

you are so damn clueless sometimes ... this is your problem. You think that we are a contender being held back by our coach.
You probably overestimated badly the number of wins that we would have.

I actually don't think fisher can coach this team to win more then 25 games. We won games, because Carmelo, Aflalo, and KP click at the same time. We are competitive when they are hitting shots. He sure as hell has tried his darnest to lose many of the games we've won thus far

and you thought that fisher was a terrible coach because he did not give THJ playing time since THJ was a can't miss.
