Knicks · Who do you take, HYPOTHETICALLY, at 5th? (page 2)

Russell measured 6'5 in shoes with a 6'10 wingspan. Oh my. His apparently have some decent size mits too.

If you look at his bare foot measurement and add 1 inch hes 6-4.25

Winslow is 6.45/6.55

Kaminsky is 6-11.75 7.075

i'm actually more impressed that he weighed 193 lbs. Physically, he is a taller longer John Wall. I was more worried he would weigh equal/under 180lbs, like Lavine

I was starting to think Winslow over Russell, even with the 3rd pick, but a 6'10 wingspan at the PG is something to pause on. I think Russell moves up to 2 in my book, over OK4.

1) Kat
2) D-Rizzle
3) OK4
4) Winzlo (he is so Jimmy Butler)
5) Moody. (If his workout is good)

I think Frank for what we do is the best pick at 3 -4-5. If we can get Kaminsky + add an asset or a 2016 pick in rd 1 its a frikin no brainer. Dont overlook kamisky at 4.

I don't think anyone is overlooking Frank. I think it's that most people don't see him as a good pick at 4 or 7 or 10, now maybe outside of 10 i can agree with getting him especially if we don't get a top 3 pick and we can find a way to trade down some and get Frank along with another 1st round pick in this draft or in 2016. Frank made a name for himself this year and whoever doesn't think the kid has some big talents then they're idiots, but if you think he's gonna be the kind of player in the NBA that he was in college then you're fooling yourself.

Kaminsky does get overlooked, the same way many guys who play out their 4 years get overlooked.

Would not mind Winslow, or Mario H, but I'd be very happy with Kaminsky.

How does a team take Stanley Johnson over Kaminsky at this point? He should have stayed in college for another year.

Stein played 3 years, and looks like a developmental guy on the offensive end from everything we've seen so far.

Kaminsky needs another 10-15 pounds and some upper body muscle, but he is light years ahead of some guys you can only hope will develop.

Phish better hope that we don't fall out and lose one of these guys. If this happens and we reach (and fail), then they will never live it down.

Knowing our luck, that is exactly what is going to happen.

That's what makes me mad and I strongly think we are getting pick number 5... Fisher should have told those idiots "ok guys lets have fun and I don't think I need to remind you guys our draft position... So lets not blow it". I mean to tank the whole season is one thing... But to NOT tank with the last two games is downright asanine.

earlier in the day they said Winslow was 6'6.5 in shoes with a 6'10.25 wingspan- did he shrink an inch?

1. Russell
2. Towns
3. Okafor
4. Mudiay

Its your barefeet that counts not 2 inch heels

Russell.

I think mudiay & Winslow go before him because of their physical ability and higher potential. Russell will be a great NBA pro at 5 though

That is crazy. Unless we are trading Melo I hope we can play Winslow at SG. I do not want to see Melo as our starting PF

I doubt it and I disagree that they have higher potential.

Yeah, Russell is gonna be in demand. The kid is gifted. He's the closest thing in this draft to Steph Curry, and he's bigger than Steph Curry. He's gonna have some teams interested in him. I hope Phil takes a good long look.

If Philly gets the number one overall pick - I think they're taking Russell, or maybe trading down to pick three, but I think Philly will covet Russell.

I have gone back and forth with the same top 5, swapping OK4 and Russell. It's a really tough call. Not saying I'd flip a coin when on the clock, but it's darn near close to that. Can't go wrong if we're in the top 3 in this draft. Just can't.

That said, GIVE ME TOWNS!!!

Stevo, the difference between where we ended the season and the one worse position is 5%. Hold you QQ until we see how the ping pong balls go.

I know this has been beaten up in the Boogie Cousins thread and THERE, I said that I would not trade a top 5 pick for Boogie, but looking at available players and a roster that fits around Melo, I am starting to think that a move for Boogie might make sense IF they take back Calderon (who may need to be included for salary reasons). Not sure the 5 pick gets it done. That said:

PG	Alexey Shved 3,990,000.00
SG Danny Green 10,000,000.00
SF Carmelo Anthony 22,875,000.00
PF Paul Millsap 11,500,000.00
C Demarcus Cousins 13,500,000.00

I would go to war with the above roster for the next five years. Fill in the roster with the who's who of D'Leaguers. I'm open to suggestions for PFs.

PG	Aaron Craft 550,000.00
SG Thanassis Antekoumpo 550,000.00
SF Jarrell Eddie 550,000.00
C Jordan Bachynski 550,000.00
PF [WAIVED VETERAN] VET MIN
SG/SF Tim Hardaway 1,304,000.00
SF Cleanthony Early 845,000.00
PG/SG Langston Galloway 845,000.00
SF/PF Lance Thomas VET MIN
C Cole Aldrich VET MIN

You could do Thabeet. I can't forget that quote when being scouted... he's 4 years away from being 2 years away or something like that. Whoever said it nailed it. That said, he might be ready for a Vet Min contract.

Briggs -- who is the top PF likely to be available from D'League, UDFA, Vet Min or a late 2nd purchase? Rakeem Christmas?
