He came in light--231 and my first thought process was he cant go top 5 but Ive thought about it---Kaminsky really is a stretch 4 and at nearly 7-1 would make nearly an impossible match up problem for many teams. Im keeping him as prospect #3.

So if we get the 3rd pick or lower then you want Kaminsky? Over Russell?

YEP. Preferably as a trade down add asset deal but I am convinced that Kaminsky is the best candidate here 3 down. I think that will become apparent very quickly in the SL.

In fact Ill go farther. If we get pick #2 if Philly gets pick 6 Ill give then pick #2 for Embidd both #2's and one of their 2016 #1 picks as long as Kaminsky is at 6.

Why is Philly giving up on Embiid so soon? Is there actually Intel out there that they're ready to dump him? Actually curious here.

The thought of a Kaminsky Melo front court gives me nightmares of continual lay up lines by opposing teams. If we are going to go the questionable D route id much rather take Russell who has bonafide star potential. I don't see Kaminsky rising to the become the next K Love. Perhaps a souped up Van Horn with more heart. But no way do I take him with Russell, Winslow, hell even Mudiay on the board.

I would think any trade down deal we would make with Philly in this situation is based on our belief that Philly is in love with Russell.

They really wouldn't be "giving up" on Embiid, they'd be gambling that Russell is THE cornerstone piece they desperately need to take their next step.

Where Noel fits in for them seems to be significant... any chance they might feel that Embiid does not work well with Noel style-wise.
I don't know Embiid's game too well at this point, so I would be speculating here.

offense looks good but i also have my doubts this guy can defend at the nba level... i see a spencer hawes type of career here...

He should be taken at 10 and later..

I'd rather have WCS than Kaminsky, mainly because if you draft Kaminsky, that means you need to add a defensive front court player via free agency, and there aren't really any. If you add WCS, then you have more options (Love, Aldridge, although both are unlikely, Monroe, etc). However, if we traded down and got either of them in addition to Winslow or something, then I would be happy. If we just ended up with Kaminsky or WCS then I would be very disappointed.

Kaminsky is nice as a stretch 4 yo. If the Knicks could get rim protecters like Robin Lopez or Kosta Koufos (who's slept on) as starters, Kaminsky would fit in. I would have him as a second option at power forward if the Knicks can acquire Paul Millsap or Amir Johnson. Kaminsky is similar to Dirk Nowitzki and Pau Gasol. He's more athletic and very mobile than Hawes, Mehmet Okur, Olynyk, and Ryan Anderson. He can handle the rock very well for his size and can lead the break and distribute like a point guard. I can see phil selecting him because of his similarities to Pau Gasol.... Kaminsky work ethic is comparable to Jimmy Butler and Kawhi Leonard. Watch Knick fans cry and say that we should've draft frank because he's going to be better than what many expect. He has that glow about him that very few notice.

Im not in love with your C's especially Lopez. Id almost rather have one year fill ins and fill in's. I guess Koufus/ Aldrich would be acceptable nd then get 1 year min like Thabeet as third but with the theory I will do better in the next FA at that position. Also we could trade down to get Kaminsky and maybe pick up an additional 1 if we trade down and go big again--lot of nice secondary choices to help. Thabeet for the minimum will change peoples heads I cant believe his improvement and Ive followed for 8 years. I hope Knicks get him on SL team and fans will be shocked.
