Briggs becoming resigned to signing Monroe
Not bad, but I don't see the Knicks doing that mainly due to the interior defense. I would think Phil is gonna want a rim protector next to Monroe and put Melo at SF and let him move to PF only under optimal circumstances against smaller lineups.

This is a variation of what we could do. Its not the final product and its just another formula. Im just throwing pen to paper and see what makes sense in variable ways.

Mickey is probably the best shot blocker we could get but can also guard the perimeter. I thought this was improve over 2-3 years? If Im going this way--ultimately I move Mickey to PF Anthony to SF and Carroll to SG. But that does not have to be year 1.

I thought Thabeet was awesome this year best ive ever seen him play--hes far ahead of Bachinski as a third C. Again were talking third line C and vet minimum. Bring him to SL and see how funny he plays--my bet is he would dominate.

Well i'll say this, there's definitely a chance that you get one of your several different off season lists coming true. You've made to many for one not to be right or at least close to it.

Im sure every team throws pen to paper and puts up several variation of what could be. This is a unique year for the Knicks.
better idea - #20 + lowry for #4 and jose. you get a pg and still have the money for FA's with a lowry/melo duo already on the roster. phil has a closet full of efferdent - he's done in ny within 2 years.

Misery loves company, eh. Welcome back. Lowry's been sliding back since the middle of this season. Plus, he's a questionable fit for the triangle. Throw in Derozan an we can talk.

Not sure we could use our 2017 #1 since we already traded away 2016. I am also a bit on the fence about max for Monroe. I like Carroll @ 10mil, but you have him at 12.5, which may be ok considering the salary cap burst coming.

Haha
Can't believe Thabeet cited in post much less the knickerbockers
Lineup?
Lol,

Hard times for raptor fans- at least we can empathise with each other

Do we get an MLE if we start the offseason under the cap?

Lol,
Thabeet--if he gets a chance to go to the SL--hge will easily make an NBA team. His improvement last year was dramatic. He was a Husky so Ive seen him play 100 times in his career. I am biased because I also know him and about him and hes a great kid. But his play in the D league was the best Ive ever seen him perform.

no ... sorry ... wrong again :-)
It was just funny because I googled briggs and thabeet to see if you are propping him because you originally did (you never give up and your guys) and the second post was TMS saying that you should put your post in one thread. I thought that was really funny that others have had the same issue for a while.
also, by now you should have learned from being "so sure" all the time.
either way, I enjoy your posts even though we mostly don't see eye to eye. You are all gut and I believe in logic and analysis (and learning from previous mistakes)
You seem to have a decent gut at times but it often clouds your reasoning
