If we were able to get a later 1 and mid #2 would you be happy with
Draft
A Danilo Fuzaro PG
B Pat Connughton SG
D league
A Jerell Eddie SF
B Jerrell Benimon PF
Really what Im doing is bringing it very athletic skilled 21-23 year old players with good experience and making up the end part of the team with the thought process they will all move up in the next two years into a top core 9.
Beyond the draft pick up top and Free agency would this make fans happy. The thesis is to bring in hard nose two way athletic players who share the ball with good IQ at every position. These players are essentially 11-15
This would be smart and we would be savvy to get this done IMHO. What are others opinions?
I've been so focused on the top ten prospects since about January, I literally know nothing else about the rest of this draft.
Briggs is so freakin amazing.
i seamlessly at first read the post like this: "If I were able to get ..."
b/c at this point i half believe Briggs is making the picks and trades. He probly works harder than Phil at this. All hail.

Probably?
More like he CERTAINLY has invested more time into this whole thing than Phil

Its well known that Phil is constantly readings Briggs' posts and others on UK and using our reactions as a compass for discovering what he will do next.
On a more serious note, does Phil have an underling on his staff who he has scouring the nation and world for talent? Can't remember who the guy was that discovered Galloway at Portsmouth last year, but who are the talent evaluators he really trusts.
I would expect that Mills is not one of them.

Mills has no place in this organization. The day Dolan realizes that, is the day the Knicks will begin to make smart basketball decisions

Clarence Gaines is Phil's guy and the guy that scouted Galloway. Kevin Wilson is the scout in Europe that has done a great job finding free agents over there.

No I have just seen this as a draft that can help us past pick #4. I think I have it down now--Im definitively married to Kaminsky or at worst Porzingis up top but I love big athletic guards and those two OVER time Fuzaro and Connughton will be excellent players in this league. I like the the thought process of grabbing 2-3 of the D leagues top guys at different positions and giving them a chance starting from the SL to camp and letting them earn spots and start a winning mentality. Look at any film of Connaghton and Fuzaro--you wont have to look long--they both play VERY hard on both sides of the ball--they have winners mentality perfect types of players you want your team to grow with. There are a lot of good players in this draft its confusing but I personally think there is string value beyond pick #4. There is a certain mentality those two players bring--you can see it in their games. Scrappy fighters but they also possess NBA athletic ability and size--not undersized players who make up with heart--they have game. And Im not smarter than anyone else here I just have an opinion on how I think basketball should be played.
Aguy like Frank Kaminsky can change the way defenses play us and all of our secondary players can benefit.
