Knicks · This guy is the BEST defender in the draft (page 1)

for how the nBA works now--he can move from the post to the perimeter and even guard the ball coming up court. Big difference is that he can really rebound and has a burgeoning offensive game that has upside. He can truly get out on a guy like Lebron at 6-8 245 and 7.325 wingspan with quick feet better than ANYONE we have but hes good enough to both interior players AND guards. But he comes 8ith the offensive game.

He is short

The player he most reminds me of is Bargs but with serviceable defense
jamp @ 5/30/2015 2:59 PM
I hope Phil finds a way to get this guy. He would complement Monroe perfectly.

Mudiay
Calderon
Melo
Mickey
Monroe

Yup...he is.

Has a good wingspan, and supposedly has a high BB IQ.

Can he be a Rodman lite, someday?

Not sure he can be a starter in the league, but who knows.

Having a great jumper would be nice, but that is not a real part of his game yet from what I've read and seen.

Seems to be heavy enough, but DraftNet mentions a lack of strength, and how this will hurt his pro game.

Stayed in college and extra year for seasoning, and supposedly improved offensively.

Dray green is 6-6. Nba basketball has changed. The best defender is the versatile player who can defend multiple positions. The 7-0 is asecondary defender

Moonangie @ 5/30/2015 3:33 PM
We don't necessarily need to get a perfect fit in every position. We need to add quality and depth. Perhaps we don't land our center until next season or the one after. Time + patience + smart moves = the right change for our team.

Great defender, not as good as WCS. On offense he occupies the same area as Monroe and Melo to a lesser extent. fT shooting is meh, but I wonder if he has worked on that and it he did improve it that leaves some hope. He does not defend guards( dude is a PF)but his PnR D is admirable. Great shot blocker and very nimble. He is nearly as good as WCS, with some offense, his footwork on O end stands out. But we cannot take him at 4, only if we trade down. He would get in Monroe's and Melo's way on offense unless that jumper really comes about.

My whole gig is getting MAXIMUM value out of pick 4 --can I turn pick 4 into something like Kaminsky fuzaro mickey. Max value to some might just be take the bpa a4(and they may be right)it would likely take the Celtics and Denver to do a deal

callmened @ 5/30/2015 7:06 PM
perhaps but he needs to be on the RIGHT team to take advantage of that. right now hes too short and wouldnt necessarily help a lottery team
callmened @ 5/30/2015 7:08 PM
OMG for christ sake - dont even MENTION WCS to BRIGGS, hell rip your head off

I'd rather have Rakeen Christmas.

Yes, Dray Green is 6'4", but he has the heart of a Lyon. Most of all, he can shoot the ball with range.
