Damn, we needed him to kill it in that workout if we had any shot at the lakers taking him.

He shoots like that Phil aint taking him either.
Looks like it's gonna come down to the Sixers. If they pass on Mudiay and take Russell then the Knicks basically are back where they started. Mudiay, Winslow and WCS. My money would still be on WCS in that grouping.
I'm cooling off on Mudiay and WCS, and going for Winslow, signing Carroll and trading for Hibbert- gives is a defensive foundation, and flexibility next offseason.

The Gill comparison works for relative size and appearance, but he was a SG/SF.
Poor 3 pt shooter. Decent career but you always thought he should be better.
Was Mudiay the one who said he was "trying to show off his athleticism?"
I think folks already know he is an athlete...show me the shot.
The more clips I see of Payne, the more I like him- if you like Russell, you'll like him

Really does he play off the ball and come off of screens like Russell?
nevermind
Gill barely made 30% of his 3s and 40% of his 2s!

I think the comparison was made just based on appearance/size.

I hope so!

I like what he says in interviews and how he comes across, but he always seems to look exhausted in even the lightest workouts- maybe it's just his body language, but I get why people said he lacked conditioning a few weeks ago.
imagine all the house of pain song if knicks draft cameron payne, his draft stock is rising, i wonder if he can get into the conversation with mudiay and russell
mudiays conditioning, demarcus cousins had the same problem with his workouts as well

Even money that the title will make it to the back cover of the Post.
So as of right now we have the following workouts set up:
6/5: Quinn Cook ?
6/8: Justise Winslow
6/9: Emmanuel Mudiay
6/15 (week of): Cameron Payne
6/16: Willie Cauley-Stein
6/25: The Draft

Hmm, no Lyles or Kaminsky scheduled yet (that we know of). Also I find it odd how Stanley Johnson has fallen off the face of the earth- he's the only player that seemingly hasn't been linked to us. A month or two ago he was considered the best SF and was compared to MWP.
i'm pretty sure dates are left open for last minute workouts... it happens all the time... it's clear that winslow, mudiay and stein are being considered and i think they might have russell workout and i'm pretty sure they're bringing in porzingis and hezonja at some point...

I think porzingis is just doing one workout open to several teams in the middle of June
Kaminsky --- size. Check tallest player in draft
----fit for the triangle check
---- passing abilities check
---- toughness. Check
---- assist to turnover ratio check
---- ball handling check one of the best 7-1 ball handlers in quite sometime
---- interior post game solid w upside
----shooting ability high quality out to 28 feet
--- free throw % solid
----position diversity can play 5-4 would be a great small ball 5
---- defense can get over powered in low post may have some problems with smaller 4 s laterally fundamentally sound and determined defender makes up for some physical limited abilities. Excellent help defender plays very well within a system can block shots but doesn't have great length
---- mobility and agility solid gets up and down well uses spin moves that I have not seen in multi years to create space
--- motor check
Basketball iq feel for the game. Very high
Readiness check
Intangibles very high
Negatives needs to weigh 245 not 231 continue to work on lateral quickness. I think he also needs NBA conditioning. He seems to wear down in 2nd halfs.

How he does in that open workout might determine a second look with a single team, I suppose, but are Towns or OK4 doing team workouts? Is Russell?
