I don't have the means to go find this cause I'm at work but I saw this on another site. If anyone has the time to try to find this then please do. I don't know what kind of connections Jalen has but I'm sure he knows people that know people.
that is not going to be possible unless those guys are going to be taking less....
sometimes jalen is right.. most of the time he's just speculating and esp here the numbers don't add up to fit two of those guys.. they're all expected to get max offers...
We won't get Monroe and Millsap, too much money. But i see us getting Monroe and Harris. Might not be the best defensive front court, but a crazy good fit for the triangle and very dangerous scoring.
14m each if shved is cut or given the room exception
First of all you can't spend your entire cap on your frontline..U need a legit deep threat besides Melo..The league is guard oriented...The would be a C- off season..No perimeter offense or rim defense...
I doubt it happens but it would definitely be a youth movement if Greg and Tobias were signed.
I don't really care for harris; his game is way too similar to Carmelo's. We need help in the front court and help in the back court. Monroe is a big I would pursue, because he is young and a double double machine. We MUST address our wing by acquiring a two-way dude to play next to our PG and Carmelo.
If we are lucky enough to draft Russell or STEIN, that will solve most of our issues, because THEY are multi-talented.

I agree it would be a b- or c grade if those players stay the same but they are young and growing plus Tobias is a decent 3or shooter. If Gallo returns to his college shooting and Tobias continues to improve you'd have 3 quality shooters at least.
if tobias signs it basically means melo is going to PF fulltime... which i'm not opposed to but then you sign monroe or millsap and where do they play?

Forget about an interior shot blocking D if you have a combination of these guys.
Harris if friends with Anthony, I think...could be good, could be bad. If you sign Harris you could not also sign Millsap. You then have to put Monroe at the 5.
Decent rebounding group, but to slow with no shot blocking capabilities.
Not a good fit.

The front office will feel the pressure to get to the playoffs this year..It risk them adding players who aren't really complimentary..Honestly they need bodies..But they should look at it as a two year plan with the cap jumping next year and more players coming available..
what makes the most sense... is that we get one of the guys in that group... and monroe and tobias seem like the best choices... millsap i just can't see signing here unless we strike out on both those guys...
and monroe and tobias both intrigue me a little... tobias esp.. think he's one of the most underrated players in the league... but both is stretching things a bit...
I would be happy with Harris and Monroe... I wouldn't be happy with just one. Each are good for a couple of assists per game. If Melo shares the ball I see the ball getting shared an awful lot... pretty big if but that is some serious size and Jackson is all about having a bigger team than the opponent's

http://espn.go.com/espnradio/play?id=130...They start talking about free agency around the 42 minute mark....the beginning is about the finals, for the the most part.

I'm with you on Tobias, I think people don't realize his movement skills off the ball. I think the cutting action/motion in the triangle will do him good. He just needs to grow as a defender. He has improved but he needs work.
Defense is the key component with Harris and Monroe eventhough both took steps in the right direction last year. The problem is Monroe isn't a rim protector. He will likely never be a shot blocker but he needs to be able to alter players shots.

Monroe is a center. Millsap would not be a fit in that case. I think Harris is more of a PF and Melo at SF, but they would be interchangeable.
I fully expect Phil to look for a starting PF/C and a SG/PG type. Monroe is more likely due to his size, low post and rebounding. I don't see Millsap or Harris as real targets. Carroll, Matthews or Danny Green make the most sense in terms of need and fit.
Jalen also said his sources told him Melo was a lock to go to Chicago. He's got connections, but he's primarily in the entertainment business.

They were offering 60 mil, it would never happen..Means this whole story is probably garbage...
