There's a difference when you're dealing from a position of strength vs desperate. Phil doesn't have to do anything. Others teams will call making offers. That will make the situation far better.
its ok to admit he didnt too good on those. Hopefully he learns from his mistakes

I really don't have an issue with what he got. You can kill getting Calderon but he seemed like a really good fit and was hurt almost the entire year. I don't think there was any reason to hold onto Tyson to wait to see if a bigger offer came up at the deadline. His value was at an all time low because of his poor, uninspired play and all the time he missed due to injury. Phil wasn't bringing Shump back and wanted to move JR. I do think Shump should have been moved at the deadline the previous year but once that didn't happen I don't have an issue with getting two seconds for those two. They needed to move on and maybe they will find sustainable success in Cleveland or wherever they end up. It wasn't happening for them in NY.

i never wanted tyson back but taking calderon sucked. Hell i would have been fine with the 2 2nds but adding a bad contract like calderon made no sense

Jose was coming off a good season. If he doesn't have the injuries it's likely he has the season Phil expected there would be less complaining about him. He's the easy target since most everyone is gone. After they trade Jose or stretch him then we can resume the usual escape goat... Melo.

That dude is too slow for today's game. He takes forever to make a decision; as a result, he ends up hurting our flow

Mudiay to Sixers is heating up a bit. I have seen it in a couple of places. If Mudiay is the target I think Hinkie moves back and grabs another pick in the process.

Crush: Where are you seeing that? Not questioning you, I would like to read it if it's on the web. Thanks

I could see them being happy with Mudiay and another pick over just Russell. Mudiay fits their scheme, but they don't want to reach for him.

He's not a good shooter that is for sure. Hes got a long way with that jumpshot--which takes a lot of time to get off and I like that word "clunky" I heard today. He was making sure to step in past the 3 point line and was just not on--seemed to labor was not spry in his movements. I don't think hes the athlete that a John Wall is and with a jumper that is going to take time--I just dont see the necessity for this player at 4 in ANYWAY.
yeah that jumper looked awful at times. smh

Is Mudiay really that much of an upgrade over MCW, though? I'm not sure he is.

mudiay to sixers is false rumor, i dont see that anywhere
jbeachboy@ 6/21/2015 1:18 PM
new rumor they are saying is russell doesnt want to play for sixers, well cause they are the sixers and are losing
jbeachboy@ 6/21/2015 1:19 PM

I don't believe that rumor at all- he seems very enthusiastic about the Sixers, posted photos of himself in a sixers uni after the lottery, played with Embiid before and was very enthusiastic following his recent workout. Why would he have agreed to the Sixers rescheduled workout if he didn't want to play for them?

Does seem like he has some player bonds, there. Doesn't he also have some kind of friendship/or history with Noel, too?
jbeachboy@ 6/21/2015 3:01 PM
nevermind that report, updated that he does like it and that is willing to play there now after his workout there

Ok, how many drafts have we seen videos of guys killing it during workouts and when they get in the league they can't throw a toothpick in the Atlantic. Jus saying

Agreed in game shot making and practice are two different things. I'm sure Dell Curry killed his shots in practice but in game he was good but mostly serviceable role player. Same with Trent Tucker, Craig Hodges.
