He did write about Jackson and Fisher being there.
Every now and then he has something good, but you can usually count on him to look at the bad things.
Possible "cut and paste" job using previous stuff with some newer info. He has done that before, as I've seen paragraphs that look familiar.
I'm pretty satisfied where we now stand in the draft, though, and doubt that Jackson would give as much away as this article implies, since we already know how bloody tightlipped they've been so far.
I'd be happy with Russell, OK4, or Porzingis, and if Jackson feels Winslow, Mudiay, or Kaminsky(yeah, I'd take him at 4) are right for us I could live with that.
Just want to get it over with, and hope we could get a late 1/early 2, somehow.
He looks fantastic in this workout!

I agree. It looks like there will be a franchise talent at 4.
Bring Bargs back as a cheap backup big....
Draft the only elite athletic player, with Elite Star potential, with the 4th pick (Mudiay).
Phils not selecting Porzingis at 4....After all those Kentucky and Ohio scouting trips.
The surprise pick could be Winslow.....then purchase a late pick for a Payne / Grant type of guard.
So he can go Big first (WCS / Kiminsky) and athletic PG second. I think Payne and Grant has star potential.

It is sounding Ike Porzingis won't e there when the Knicks pick. But Porzingis s the only guy I know of that was scouted by Gaines in Europe and PJax in the States. I think Porzings is in the conversation for the further pick.

Why are you getting excited now when draftexpress had actual game highlights against real people? I could see if you liked him then but this shouldn't change your mind at all imo. Kristaps could be the real deal but then again so could everyone else. The only thing impressive about the interview was how well he spoke english. lol. I barely noticed an accent.
I don't think it s just posters here. Kristaps jumped to 3 in draftexpress's mock and 2 in draftnet's mock.
We've seen many workouts many not so great some edited under great conditions. Krista had a one time chance in front of the entire nba just a little pressure no? Did one other player face that? Here's my scope he's going to be awesome in 2 years at the 5 . He will be able to help next year team grows and learns the 5 then you will have a guy who be dominant
He's not a 5 and won't be a 5 - he's a 4 like Dirk & Pau he'll need a big body next to him.
Rick Smits was a 5 but Kristapnis not Rick Smits.
Vmart wrote:Which team is going to be the sucker. If I'm the Knicks history say Euro big men have a high bust potential. How long has Dirk and Gasol been in the league. How many good Euro big men have there been very few. Euro bigs are serviceable at best and no way Prozingis should be considered so high.
Greek is pretty good player, Valincunias on Raptors, Nurkic onNuggets, mirotic.
After watching his workout video, no doubt, we have a new member of the top 4 or 5.
You can argue for the kid going top 2 or dare I say 1. I doubt that happens.
He has the chance to be a special 2 way player with that athleticism and shot.
Is he giving individual team workouts too? Then the rumors will start.
As others have said, it means we are getting an EXCELLENT player at 4. One of OK4, Russell or Porzinis is going to be there and we can't complain with any from that list.
I'd almost put him ahead of OK4 based on his defensive potential but he needs to put on weight, OK4 has the body now.

When he fills out, sure he can be a 5. 7'1" and eventually 240-250 is doable.
But till then, he will spend most of his time at the 4, yeah.

Its not for us to influence and my fear from what I read is that knicks want someone who is more NBA ready which is how we got Jordan hill and Channing frye as well. Knicks have needs NOW.
We need to take the player with the biggest upside. If melo don't want to play with a 19 year old then I hope we can trade him.
Fans and franchise are more important than Melo.
I get the need to turn this franchise around.
This kid is fluid and seven goddamn feet tall and only 19!!!! He will grow. No way do you play him inside as he'll blow his knee out or have back problems.
Because we don't have a pick in 2016 does that influence our choice this year??

How much does anthony davis weigh? Bill Russell? Dennis Rodman? When you guys were 19 what did u weigh and than at 22?

They are serviceable at best. They aren't going to be franchise changing talents. Maybe one has star potential. I don't believe they were taken so high in the draft.

Yes I accept this. Stein is sieve on the offense. Kristaps has just as much defensive potential as Stein but just a world of potential and skills on the offense. A no brainer.
How will you feel if OK4 falls to us?
Take him of course but not over POrzingis.
Are you serious? You're talking about a guy who averaged 11 and 4 last year. He's young and has tremendous upside but same with Okafor. I think you're placing too much emphasis on 4 min videos. I wouldn't put more weight on some videos than a whole year's worth of statistics. Okafor is the same guy you were calling Tim Duncan before. Now you think he should be like pick 5 or 7? Are there going to be 7 Tim Duncans from this draft?
KrisP hasn't had to carry an offense. He's more of a situational scorer than Okafor who was the heart of an offense. I think it's easy to fall in love with the pretty jumper but he's not the 1st Euro to have those skills. People just tend to forget from year to year that we've seen this before.

Team meetings, but no more workouts, from what I read.
Until the Vegas trip he was staying in New York City and did have some kind of practice or workout in Brooklyn, but I don't think teams were present...maybe a reporter, if anyone.
I hope this guy makes one of the original top three available. Thats all I care for him to do.
His videos look great but how many times have we seen this? Really? The team that drafted Danillo Gallinari and Maciej Lampe before?
Nah! Gimme a Russell or an Okafor every day of the week. This is a very important pick and we need to deliver with it. The draft may be a crapshot, but this lottery really has top talent available. Please, no project. Get the best player abailable.
nice to see dropping to 4 not looking as bad as it may have.
offensive game looks very strong, and fairly athletic compared to other big man shooters we typically see with the kind of game on display. clearly he will get stronger, but can he play defense...?
we could end up with okafor or russell as a result, which would not be the worst thing that could happen based on what we have seen.
This kid is slick.
Someone posted some game time video a few months ago...I don't like to make evaluations on a player based on youtube highlight videos but this kid impressed me.
Still hoping that Russell falls to us but if he doesn't, and the Knicks pick this kid up.....I don't think I would lose too much sleep over it.
At this point, after the "Big 3", the next three, IMO is...
Porzingis
Kaminsky
Winslow
Who has the potential to make the biggest impact from these three?
It's a workout. We could take a trip through memory lane of all the amazing workout videos of guys like Bargs, Yi Jianlan, Darko etc.
It's obvious the guy has skills but just on one workout one simply cannot determine that he's a sure fire all star for years to come. I'd still take Okafor, Russell, and even Winslow over him. Sorry maybe I'm an old curmudgeon.
