I think its very possible
so it must be true then because mock draft?

Would you like OK4 to fall?? Would you be happy with that??
Some mock drafts are better than others, and are different from this one.
The other poster said "I think it is very possible."
We are all talking about "possible" scenarios, since I don't think anyone on UK is a team owner or GM.
Nobody said "it must be true."

It means someone projected to be extremely talented will be available at 4.

Its called speculation, it's part of the fun in the run up to the draft.
Because Russell cancelled the Sixers workout (and only 'may' reschedule), it indicates the Lakers might be taking him. Porzingis then killed it in his workout and he makes more sense to the Sixers than OK4 (High risk, high reward, can shoot, can play with noels and Embiid). It's possible, though I'll believe it when I see it.
The problem with OK4 dropping is that we are going to feel like we missed out on whoever went first.

I can live with that problem!

At where we're picking that's going to happen no matter who we take...and folks picking after #4 will feel the same way if we get OK4, or whomever.
If you look at the history of who's taken where in the draft, though, five years from now one or more of the teams ahead of us might be wishing they could have taken the player we end up with.

It's rare that teams wish they made the decisions we did!

Yup, but in our position, and with the draft pool we're selecting from, this could very well happen.
Up to the Basketball gods now, and some suits in Minny, LA, and Philly.

I know right. Although, wilbon made an interesting point about kupchak history around big men. His entire nba history has revolved around winning with a dominant big from Wes Unseld & Kareem as a player to Shaq, Gasol, and Bynum as a GM. Maybe he goes small but Okafor is the type of big he knows best.

I read something today that said Philly would still take OK4 if he was there at 3 if Russell was gone and use him as trade bait which i could absolutely see Hinkie doing.

We scream at each other all the time about what is going to happen in this draft (Myself included, I'm sad to say), but to paraphrase a line from Ygritte of Game of Thrones fame:
You know nothing, UK poster

It was Berman who said that, so you can disregard it
If we got OK4 (which we won't), what other players do you sign? I think he's difficult to build around this offseason- ideally his front court partner would be a good defender, shot blocker AND would need to be able to shoot. Outside of Marc Gasol there aren't many FAs who would compliment him.

It kind of makes sense for Philly to take a euro stash. Or consolidate some of their young players into a vet. Question is when they plan to stop tanking...I think they are waiting for the next Lebron
were going to pick Stein OVER 1 of Okafor Russell or Porzingis. What a nightmare first we win the last two games of an 18 win season to lose poll position then we take a player who loses focus every other game at 4 OVER guys who can be franchise players because he can be a role player in the triangle which will be here for oh 1 more season before Phil quits?
Media is going to kill us.

You're assumption is that WCS isn't the best player among that group. Perhaps you are wrong. If Phil drafts WCS it could well be because he feels he's the best player. It's not an easy thing to compare prospects and make that determination. The popular move is to value offensive takent over defensive talent. That isn't necessarily true but people tend to take that stance.
IMO WCS on defense alone is a lottery pick. If he continues to show offensive potential that makes him an even better prospect. He's not a zero offensively. There is talent there that he just needs to develop. He's putting in the work and is looking better. Phil will get to test for himself soon.

Lol no way we pick WCS at 4 the guy is Tyson chandler 2.0 I think the fans would burn down msg if we pick a guy who is slated to go between 10 and 14 ... Kristap,mudiay,ok4,towns , Russell even frank the tank and Winslow are better picks then WCS fans would demand phils immediate resignation ...with that said I don't think Phil is that stupid..

If Phil thinks stein is the boa at 4 I suggest he rewind some ncaa tourney games. Stein is a workout warrior who will be exposed for his lack of feel for the game his weak base and an over rated sentiment that stein will be a dominant force in the paint
