you're the person who is killing fisher left and right for winning too many games this year, ruining our draft position. now you wanna say we should have hired Jackson so we could have been a better team and win even more games? you are so lost.

Jax had some problems with staff and was called out on it. he seemed like a good Rah Rah kind of guy but was limited.
I don't think he gets another gig. He went from the booth the sidelines and was not vetted as an assistant.

Kerr for a rookie had a self confidence and cred that worked. the team knew what it wanted and took it to another level rather than reinvent.
Fish by contrast had a polar opposite roster that had to get blown up and a new culture installed. Knicks had a harmonious locker room during a very difficult time. Jax in the same scenario might have lost it.

Often its not the coach but the circumstances in that time and place. Kerr was a great fit and walked into a great situation. Last nite he was asked what he was thinking then said "lute Olsen, Phil Jax, Popovich, etc.....I had some of the greatest coaches ever and learned from them!" He was great. Media savvy and very sure of himself.

Yeah there is nothing like ramming religious bromides down the players throats to motivate them. It may work for a short while but eventually the lightbulb goes off and the players realize it's coming from a holier-than-thou hypocrite who doesn't practice what he literally preaches and has affairs outside of the supposed holy sanctimony of his marriage.

What sort of mistakes?

I did not remember all of the mistakes like I would with Mike Woodson because I am not a Warriors fan and it was over a year ago. I did do a quick search that brought up some of those mistakes.

I don't have anything against Mark Jackson. I just think he was severely overrated as a coach. He was a great team motivator though. Whenever they showed his speeches during the game they were all great. I just get the Woodson vibe from Mark Jackson. They both coached good teams but they are consistently out coached in the playoffs.

The way Kerr made adjustments in these playoffs and force every team to try and go small, the way he Made AI take a back seat to a role player like GREEN, the way he made Lee take a back seat to green. The entire team was filled with high character guys, similar to the spurs.

Kerr took a little of phil(triangle), Pop(spacing), and MDA(force teams to go small) and added is own twist, it was brilliant.

Guys like woodson, and mark, will always give away to what the opposing team is doing (in the playoffs), instead of forcing teams to do what they are doing

You have a point. But it was obvious that Mark Jackson wasn't going to get the Warriors a championship. And Collins wasn't going to get the Bulls over the top. Same with the Lakers how do they all of a sudden get the confidence to get it done when Phil takes them over. The level of confidence they inspired in the players can not be measured. You can have the talent but it's the coaching that get the players over the top.

GS had a great bench and it was Dlee that sparked the offense and Iggy that sustained it.

Those two opened the game up. Big money guys who played key roles when it counted. GS was also healthier than most other teams all year.
It adds up.

GS is 12 deep...Knicks had Melo..What options did Woodsom have in terms of forcing a team to do what we do?..54 win was a miracle..
