Knicks · J.R. Smith blatantly zoned out during David Blatt's halftime speech of game 7 (page 1)

no the devil has heart

Now Lebron knows why we gave him JR for practically nothing. Dude shows up for a few games and then when you need him most he lets you down. This is not like it's the only time he's done this in the post season. You just can't depend on JR. He's like a mirage in the desert. You're dying of thirst and it looks so appealing that you expend all your energy to make to the Oasis and it just fades away. All you get with JR is a mouth fool of sand.

I think Blatt had just told the team they were going to use the Triangle offense to get James some better looks.

Game 6, but anyway...

Well, we got to see, at least offensively, why Phil jettisoned both Shump and JR Smith. Had one of those guys done anything offensively, the Cavs would be champions.
JR did another post season meltdown. Man, I can't remember another player, at least on our team, who was so bad during the playoffs and so good during the regular season.
All that talk of not being wanted... expect to hear it again. Ironic, without them they probably don't even advance though.

31% and 26% - Ouch...

stopstandthere @ 6/17/2015 2:22 AM
He has already booked the flight to NY. Party on.

Look at the Steals for Shumpert at the start of the series-4/3/3, and then after Iggy started playing-0/1/0. More than a significant difference.

The limitations for each player really emerged in this series. Shumpert put in a lot of effort, but he is still basically the player we had as a rookie, for the most part.

Smith was on the biggest stage of his life, and all people will remember is his disappearing act on offense, that flagrant foul, and his Hovertrac entrance into the arena.

Man, where's FireWoodson to defend these marvellous acquisitions? It's weird how he made monotonous threads when one of them had a good half game, but has completely vanished since the began stinking it up in the finals!

Does Cleveland sign Shump or let him go? He had a horrible series.

He wanted cap space and picks. I think he was resigned to the tank at that point. The only thing that should have been done was ,owing Shump the previous year at the deadline.
JrZyHuStLa @ 6/17/2015 7:52 AM
There were people on this forum who were sour grapes on Phil giving him up for low value when we was hot during the Hawks series.

These are the same people who didn't realize it was just a matter of time till he wouldn't show up in the Finals.

Nalod @ 6/17/2015 8:03 AM
JR's body language in the first half was defeatist.

"We should have gotten more".

how do you quantify that? Hindsight or personal preference?

Give the trash brothers credit in helping Lebron get thru a weak east. The team 34-9 run to finish the season was based on their contributions but Moz as a rim protector and Love and Kyrie meshing with Lebron.

JR really caved under the pressure of the moment. No swagger at all.
Shump played good defense at times.

Game three was Delly's greatest game but the dude is offensively awful!

But there was that one game Shump led the Cavs bench unit to an 8 point lead in the 2nd quarter!

This is funny to me:

Chris Broussard: JR Smith told me he’ll probably opt out of the final year, $6.4 million of his contract

What a complete dope. Saw this live last night and was SMH man ...First off, WTF is he doing sitting behind his coach like that?!? So disrespectful -- knowing there's a crew in there filming it for TV.. This is for all the marbles, for what you play for--the game was close at the half and you're at home supposedly feeling confident to get that win and push it to 7...and that's how you behave, looking completely disinterested like that??? Disgrace...This dude will never get it...and now his skills have eroded down to nothing. I don't care how may points he had in the 4th quarter -- dude's a shell of what he used to be. He's a bit player now, completely outclassed by the likes of Curry, Thompson, Iguodala...Heck, give me Leandro Barbosa over this clown...Have fun going back to China, buddy. Don't let the door hit you on the way out. This idiot wouldn't even make it back to China -- he'd get busted at the airport with weed in his bag.

You know who did play great -- Shaun Livingston. WOW was I impressed with his play. Congrats to him and the Warriors. Well done.

I know, now the media will have to make do with it's "Steph Curry and Kerr were almost Knicks" crying!
