They cleaned up. The only guy that is a question mark in my mind is Lance. Getting Smith on a vet mini and not having him resign with the Rockets was huge for them. Not a Pierce fan but he always makes the shot that you remember for the next 5 years in the playoffs.

Report: Sixers' Joel Embiid rebroke navicular bone in his right foot
By James Herbert | NBA writer
July 20, 2015 11:02 am ET

Joel Embiid rebroke the same bone in his right foot that cost him his rookie season with the Philadelphia 76ers, according to the Philadelphia Daily News' Bob Cooney:

Of course, there is the impending surgery on Joel Embiid's right foot, which should be any day. Sources have confirmed to the Daily News that the navicular bone in his right foot was rebroken.

Embiid had two screws inserted into the navicular bone in June 2014, just before the NBA Draft. The Sixers selected him No. 3 overall, and he had to miss the entire 2014-15 season. They recently announced that he'll miss all of the 2015-16 season, as he needs to have surgery again.

It's obvious that rebreaking that same bone is horrible news for Embiid and for Philadelphia. He has the potential to be a franchise-changing player, and he hasn't played any sort of competitive basketball since March 1, 2014. The hope is that he'll be ready for the 2016-17 season, but it's impossible to not worry about his career.

Nick Johnson is a freakish athlete that still has room to grow. Decent jumper but very streaky. He's a tweeter but would look better in a triangle system.

Think he was mentioned as a guy the Knicks were looking at.

This is really sad. I wish him well and hope he recovers sufficiently.

Good for Cope. It should be a nice situation for him there.
