And why the fuck is Charlotte doing this?
^^^Speculation is Charlotte wants Frank.
Like those moves for Charlotte. Batum and lamb can ball. Should give Kemba some solid players around him on the wing

I'd be on board with that off season. Tough leader is right, and exactly what's proven to bring the best out of Melo. Draft Mudiay as long as Russell doesn't drop and I'm a happy camper.

This draft isn't about Melo. Draft Winslow or the Zinger. We have had enuff idiotic decisions around one bloated ego.

Batum is a nice all around player- unselfish, can hit the 3, defend, pass....good trade for Hornets.

Baseline cost of a starting NBA wing who can actually defend is about 10 million per year. That's the rock bottom baseline cost.
Teams are going to adjust how they trade accordingly.
The Knicks desperately need to buy a couple of 2nd rounders, even in the 50s zone and grab some wing prospects.

But they just drafted Noah Vonleh (admittedly, a guy I don't like) with a top 10 pick last year. And is Batum significantly better than Henderson? It's not like Batum is a guy that's going to put them over the top or anything.
Charlotte got Jeremy Lamb for nothing.

Yeah, I just saw; that's annoying. Dude's only making $3M next year and he looks to me that he's at least a rotational level SG. Certainly better than anyone we have right now. Should've used one of the TPEs and a future 2nd to get it done.

Tell me how you really feel, "meloshouldgo". I agree this draft isn't about Melo, it's about the BPA. I happen to think that's Mudiay.
Free agency, however, is about getting the right fit for the team. David West is the kind of leader this team could benefit from, especially Melo, the same way they benefited from Rasheed and Kidd. Another tough, active body in the paint and someone to take a more vocal role in the locker room.

i had a feeling they might trade him this summer earlier this year. The hornets are doing a good job buying low.

Batuum is a way better player than Henderson when he is healthy. Last year he played with a bad wrist all season but still defended and pass the ball well. I think Vonleh has promise and will develop in a year or two. Vonleh at the four and Leonard at the 5 could be a great future
