Cousins just seems like a malcontent prima donna.

Give me Okafor or Russel and a reset on my cap and I think I'd be happy!

Agreed besides the attitude issues, I'm not even sure Cousins has that big an impact on the W-L column. (The advanced stats are all over the place for him.) I'd rather have Okafor for a quarter the price.

This is not about Cousins it's about Karl. Also, I thought the Kings looked good last year and won games when he was playing.

Would you take Cousins for the #4 pick? Rookie contracts are great in all but Derrick Williams, Thomas Robinson, and Anthony bennents are always there.

Cousins is actually on a great contract as the cap explodes

It's a tough call but I'd rather have Winslow and Monroe.

Melo and Cousins equals contenders..

So Cousins would add 40 wins?

So Can a team of Melo and Cousins win 57 games in the East..Yes...

Well we're very far off in our assessments. I think this team slightly underachieved last year and if you put the same roster out there, it would win about 23. But if you have a healthy Melo - I'd kick it up to 31. Add Cousins and I'll say 38.

ah ... so love had a good team around him in minny. Those guys you mentioned are really great. and the team did pretty awesome without him.

again, a terribly inconsistent double standard.

Do you think Love is a better player than Cousins?

I did not make that claim.

I didn't say you made that claim...Who is better???? and Who is the best Center in the NBA?

Cousins is far more talented but being that he is such a tool, I would take Love over him. Also, Love is more efficient. Cousins takes way too many bad shots.

Both are very good rebounders and passers.

Cousins is the better defender.

Cousins is really hard to figure out because he has a JR head (which you seem to really dig)

The best center in the league is M Gasol.

OK..

Offer another first round from another year...Say the 2018 top three protected..SAC won't want to give the Lakers, their main rivals, a guy like Cousins...

With LA they would have to do a pick swap and give up their #6 and maybe take back Nick Young.

Problem with such a deal is that we don't have any supporting role players...I think we are further away from regrouping as an organization than people think...It took us about two years after Melo arrived to land a talent like JR..I think an average coach with his own control will be better than our current situation with Fisher..

Well, I think the point is that it will not be the same roster. With Cousins you have around 18m plus the room exception left to add pieces this summer. They could try to build core around them with that money or add another max piece then look to summer 16 to add the others.

True but replacing that talent will cost more...JR's talent wont cost us 6 mil per but 10 mil per..Same for Shump..And that's if these FAs want to give Phil and his triangle a go...

Wins absolutely counts..But look at the teams around KLove versus Cousins...Kevin Martin, Corey Brewer, Rubio, Pekovic, Barea....It's been Cousins and Tyreke Evans for years..

ah ... so love had a good team around him in minny.

OK..

way to man up and tell me what you think and why.

I told you that Cousins was the best center in the league..You conceded that Cousins is better than Love but you would take Love anyway..Not much else to discuss...I could say that Cousins grabs 5 more rebounds a game and that Gasol's 7.8 rebs per game is close to Melo's output...But I don't think you care who the better player is...

I said Cousins is the better talent.

Cousins is at 12.4 rebounds per 36 vs. Love at 12.9 per 36 but carry on ...

compare their stats if you really care

What is this a joke??.Your link is for numbers from 2009 and 2011...How about last year where Cousins had 12.7 rebs per 34 mins and Love had 9.7 per 34 mins...He is a much better defender as well..No only the better talent but much better stats..But some how it doesn't translate to a better player??

Also, his injury year helps his avg doesn't it? The 18 game year needs to be thrown out imo. I think Cousins actually has better rebounding numbers the past 4 years if you discount the 18 game year Love played.
