You all know I like THJ, but I think Booker can become the better player.
If we could draft Stein and Booker from Kentucky, I would consider this draft a success

The son of Missouri great Melvin Booker (an outstanding player for many years in Europe), Devin Booker played an important role for Kentucky despite only turning 18 less than two weeks before the regular season kicked off. Playing for a team that struggled with floor-spacing due to starting three power forward/centers at the same time, Booker was the designated marksman who came off the bench for 21 minutes per game on average, and gave Kentucky's offense some much needed outside shooting and scoring efficiency (53% 2P%, 41% 3P%, 83% FT%).

You can't really be dense enough to believe that we can deal away one of the worst value contracts in the league and get back the 8th pick in an intriguing draft. Yes, I could possibly see Calderon, THJr and cash incentives for Jennings, maybe Spencer Dinwiddie (who I like) but even that is a stretch. There is so little incentive for the Pistons to make any move with us especially since the only asset they'd be getting, is no better than what they already have in Caldwell-Pope.

please realize that booker has the same strengths and weaknesses as hardaway. his defense is terrible

Depends if they want the cap space or not. But I don't think we should give away another asset for a rental.

He's an awful percentage volume shooter. Not what I want from a PG. At least Calderon hits shots. In my opinion, Jennings is the biggest reason why Detroit was so poor this season. They should've been better than 32-50.

He was a terrible defender though, no doubt about that, and he looked really weak. I think that why Calipari did not play him as much, even though Booker was clearly a better shooter than the twins.

Expect that he has a lot of maturing left to do, though.

You serious? Booker is going top 10 in Chad Fords latest mock. You think the Pistons would give up there pick for Tim freaking hardaway jr? All we got was a second rounder for smith AND shumpert. Smh Knicks fans are retarded I swear to god

Also watched some highlight vids of his shooting and was pretty impressed.

THJ is much more of a streak shooter at this point. You get the feeling that Booker will show consistency.

Still have issues with his D, and there were times when he seemed to be like a kid playing with adults on D. Played smaller than his size, IMO, especially as a defender.

What cap space? This deal does nothing to affect the Pistons payroll in the immediate future.

And as I said before, I have no interest in Jennings the player. Jennings the contract, however is fairly compelling though because of his relative trade value.

Although I really want Russell or Stein, but At the end of the day if the Knicks end up with two Kentucky players (Booker and Lyles) I will be very happy.

Devin booker is a horrible defender. Phil and Derek would want a pg that can D up..
