but at the same time if you are going to select a project, why sign carmelo to 124 mill with no trade clause?

We are still a couple of years away no matter who we picked and I really like Porzingis' upside. We "swung for the fences" rather than playing it safe. We could have the next Dirk or the next Weis. My gut tells me we got a very talented player. As much as we've sucked in recent years, to hell with being conservative.

maybe jackson is not interested in focussing on life with melo but life beyond melo. maybe melo asks to be traded as a result.

you wish

Damn it , no trade

Well, its a home run attempt by Phil. Correct broad strategy given all factors. But is Porzingis the right player? He could end up at either extreme.

I'm satisfied with the pick. We're gambling on a potential Dirk 2.0 that will flourish with us for years. Drafting a player who can make an impact right away, while appreciated and would potentially get us into the 2nd round of the playoffs, would not help us rebuild towards a championship-caliber team.
Solace @ 6/25/2015 8:23 PM
Okay Nuggets take Mudiay. I hope we're not taking a trade including that injured center.
Moonangie @ 6/25/2015 8:24 PM
Denver picked Mudiay. Are we trading for him and the gimp?

11 rings though - meaning when he flips you the bird, it's gonna bling.

NYY1NYK2 @ 6/25/2015 8:24 PM
Is Galloway tradeable?
Is melo tradable?
Lol

big difference between being a coach and a good gm
CrushAlot @ 6/25/2015 8:25 PM
Denver did great. Lawson is sure to be moved.

I do also and I don't like to agree with you

What a mess. The Knicks are absolutely terrible.

Teams licking their chops to get Stein and Mudiay.

TPercy @ 6/25/2015 8:27 PM
Kaminsky makes the most sense for DETRIOT
NYY1NYK2 @ 6/25/2015 8:28 PM
Jay williams just said WCS is not a top 6 pick
