That's what he gets paid to do. I hate that SOB so much. I wish there was a way Knicks fans could put him and other New York piece of crap writers on full blast to show everyone that feeds into these guys' crap what they truly are. These New York writers hurt the Knicks so much with free agents and other stuff with the way they put the Knicks down every chance they get and i'm so sick and tired of it.

So I read the Berman article and he basically repeats what Isola says and then he gives an interpretation of Melo's tweet..... Now they have an opinion piece on the Post based on Melo saying what Isola and SAS says he said. I don't think they were lying guys. If they we're somebody from Melo's camp would of denied it by now.

why?

Why should Melo, or any sports figure, feed into this bullcrap? These hacks are stirring stuff up and trying to make a story out of nothing. Thats what they always do. If Melo speaks about this, then he has to do every time his name comes up.

This is a lose/lose situation for him.

Agree. Maybe I should have gotten behind the greek kid that used to post here that was trying to get him fired. Isola is awful and for some reason he is the national sports media mouth piece/expert about the Knicks. Real fans know he has no sources and there is tremendous animosity between Frank and the Knicks. He is constantly attacking Phil, the Knicks and trying to be provocative.

If Melo didnt call up SAS--this is no issue. He gave Isola a nuclear bomb--thats not Isola's fault.

Melo is in Las Vegas. No way he calls up Frank. Frank doesn't have sources. He is persona non grata at msg. He may have called Tim on the way out and got a comment that he turned into a story but even that is stretch.

Don't forget agencies like CAA. Melo might not be the person directly feeding this info to SAS. CAA on the other hand job is to make sure Melo stays the alpha male in NY (like Lebron in Cleveland) and is on a team that is competitive. Phil isn't having that. This pick wasn't made with Melo in mind and I could see that annoying CAA and Melo and either/both parties reaching out to SAS to say what they can't publicly say. Its normal practice in sports for disgruntled players.

When SAS puts this out there you have to assume he is in direct contact with either Anthony or his representatives

He didnt call Frank--didnt need to. Carmelo called up Steven A Smith who then proceeded to embarrass Phil Jackson Jim Dolan and the entire MSG organization. Isola simply took that information and ran with it. If Carmelo was cool--none of this would've happened. I was a fan of Carmelo although I didnt like the trade that got him here. Hes a good player but boy what a diva and non leader he is.

I didn't like the trade and hated Melo after the fight with Jeffries despite his going to Cuse. But he has won me over with his play. My guess is he wished Tim good luck and made a comment about the trade/picks and someone heard and relayed it to Stephen A and he turned it into a provocative story.

Melo needs to shutup. Last year he had a choice beteween winning or money..he chose money. If he doesnt want to wait then phil will gladly unload his bloated contract for picks

If he made a comment like this to the media you are right. But I am not sure that he made the comment and if he did I don't think it was said to a media member.

maybe but melo has a tendency of saying things and then refuting it. To be honest i was hoping for a sign and trade last summer because i still feel melo is more of a good secondary piece instead of a franchise player. Im kinda hoping this story is true so he asks for a trade
jbeachboy @ 6/26/2015 11:39 PM
melo will definitely ask for a trade if they dont get any free agents of quality. melo will never win a championship, he has no leadership qualities that he cant even welcome his new teammates

No sources have an actual quote from him. Sometimes I complain about work to friends and family. Or if someone I work with gets moved I might wish them luck and express disbelief because they are good at their job. My expectation is that this is something said privately. Could this be what happened? It is the only thing I can come up with as I know Isola hasn't had Knick sources for 10+ years.

For those acting like this is made up the New York Times is saying they talked to sources close to Melo who confirmed Isola's story.

truthfully it doesnt matter i still would like to trade him. At 31 he is what he is and injuries are a concern. We arent going anywhere next year anyway so recouping some picks and extra cap room is great for the future
Clean @ 6/26/2015 11:47 PM
Those of you that are saying this is completely made up might be right. Melo was on instagram talking to fans when he said that he can't wait to play with KP and that he was a steal at pick 4. I apologize if the images are too big. I don't know how to make them smaller.

anrst @ 6/26/2015 11:52 PM
ha, this is too much ... he said in an instagram that KP is a steal ... could Melo be any less interested or passive in being a leader? he's just so weak.
anrst @ 6/26/2015 11:53 PM
an instagram reply, no less... couple that with his strange tweets. WEAK
wargames @ 6/26/2015 11:56 PM
At this point this whole thing is way to much drama. I was interested in it thinking it was true. Melo gave his reply saying it was false. I am going to give him the benefit of the doubt, believe him and consider it a non issue going forward.

Anything beyond this point goes beyond the he said, she said aspect of a rumor and is just assuming the worse of Melo.

BRIGGS @ 6/27/2015 12:41 AM
Of course this story is true there is no doubt about it. A few msg employees come on a message board and post something contrary is a waste of time-- no one is stupid.
