I think Phil has picked up on that and is targeting more Euro players that might be the way to go for this organization.

WHAT? You do realize that we already could have the foundation of a new team because of the draft right? That draft was the best thing to happen to this franchise. If you strike out in FA you can still have a future. I just don't understand this kind of thinking at all.
A future, dude no one wants to play for a losing team, your great picks will bounce the first minute they can.
You don't know that. This is just self hating Knick fan trash. I see no rationale for this kind of talk.

you can only be so optimistic until reality sets in, that when it's the hardest. I'm being very realistic, you can count on one hand the amount of players in this league thats still playing with the team that drafted them..

I propose that we trade Calderon for Jimmy Butler and a first rounder. The bulls really need a PG.

No smiley face made it hard to read that as a joke. In the end this isn't really much of a disagreement. If we both agree that Phil did the right thing as it ended up with us getting 3 nice prospects for the teams future in this draft there's no problem. Regardless of how FA ends up.

Draft picks mean nothing if they are not bringing them into winning situations, why you think Love left mini, KG, Bosh, LBJ,i mean i could go on forever.
Even Patrick Ewing had decent players around him who had been playing together for a few yrs prior to him becoming a knick. We have no one but melo the volume shooter, and a rookie coach who has zero credibility.
Your acting like things are on the up and up because we have a couple of decent prospects. Well there's a lot of teams like that, and none have been successful without a decent roster to bring a high pick into.
Stop being naive.

I don't know what you prattling on about now. The simple fact is that it was a GOOD THING for this franchise that we drafted KP, Jerian and Willy. It's not a bad thing or a negative in any way. No matter what happens in FA, Phil did the best thing for this franchise with this draft. I'M not sure what your actual point is supposed to be. Phil has been remaking the roster with young prospects. They have to be developed but at this point you don't know just how good any of these players can become. They all have upside.
This FA is about finding some vets who can run with Melo and help this team have a winning record and make the post season. It's a two tier approach. I think it's smart since we can't be sure how FA will work out. If it goes well then fine but if it doesn't we still have some young prospects to develop for the future. We don't have all the eggs in just one basket.
