Knicks · Scratch LMA (page 3)

I'm available for the rookie minimum!

It's WELL KNOWN that LMA doesn't want to play center.
Knicks could've secured Robin Lopez and then chased LMA if they really wanted a shot.
They had the cap room for both those guys before Afflalo.
What should we care about what the Suns are doing? We can't base what we can do on what other teams can do. We're not at the same stage as other teams. We just started the rebuild process this year. We can expect that we'd be in the same situation as teams that far down the road in comparison.LMA doesn't want to come here that's fine. There are still other bigs that we can target. This isn't over.
We have to play other teams in order to win games.
I'm sorry but there is no way to spin this - Phil geared everything towards FA and struck out.
He hasn't struck out. We went in knowing we needed a SG and Bigs and we still have options on the board to fill those roles. There were other teams with better rosters we were competing with and Phil knew this and talked about that. There are no guarantees in Free Agency. We have no bigs under contract. We have zero big men. The top tier ones won't even meet with us. The ones who meet with us won't sign with us.
This is a disaster. There is no way to say it is not.
Jordan hasn't made his final decision and from all we know R Lopez is interested. That's not a disaster. This is all part of the process. We didn't go into this with the best hand. We had money and still do. If we come out with a solid big man that is a good thing. There are also some good lower level bigs out there we can bring in. We also still have trade options. Let's see how it goes.

the Triangle offense to compete toward NBA championship should not be end all for Phil J/Derrick FisherThis NBA isnt MJordan/Pippen and Shaq /Kobe established to be 100% triangle offense to develop Knick team
That may scare off few FAs as well...
It (triangle offense) aint important right now
The Triangle isn't really the issue. The Spurs use parts of the Triangle as did the Warriors. People just don't know what to look for so they don't perceive it watching those teams. It's just a motion and ball movement offense just like the other 2 teams run. It's just a convenient excuse used by some media guys who also don't know anything about the Triangle.

Seriously. Then a Robin Lopez makes much more sense. And I agree -- you do LMA/Robin Lopez signings first before you ever even consider talking to Afflalo.
How do you not even have any preliminary discussions with camp Aldridge (his agent, etc.) to find out if he'd be willing to play the 5? Had an entire sit-down with this guy cancelled because we didn't do our homework here. That's how this comes across....Beyond disappointing. Forget all about winning this year man. WOW..![]()

There are still guys like R Lopez, K. Koufos, Enes Kanter if i'm not mistaken. They reached out to other guys like Derrick Williams.

I would understand this tactic if they had a 2016 first round pick. Heck, I'd be all on board.
I would be in the trade Melo and rebuild camp. I think I still am. But the lack of 2016 pick makes this process sting a lot more.
Especially because that 2016 pick was because of Bargnani. Denver is rebuilding, originally the 2016 pick was a swap with them from the Melo deal.
Anyway. It's a mess.

+1 - I didn't understand all the hoopla around Monroe. Feel like the fanbase will just take anything at this pt. On LMA, if the he didn't wanna play some center rumors are true, he is certainly looking for a money grab. The last 4 NBA champs have used 4 at center for large portions kf the game. NY and LA aren't of interest to him bc of money and medi which is respectable but spare uz the other excuses.

Well their asst, stl, blks, rebounding numbers are very similar...You are talking about a .5 difference here and there..Aldridge is a scorer who is better in the post, commands a double team and can stretch the floor for you...Monroe rarely score outside the paint which gives him better efficiency numbers..Aldridge has been on better teams so you really wouldn't be fair to compare how the team has performed around these players..It might be a person preference thing but I think Aldridge is a much better player...
It's very funny to cross all the names out but that isn't the case yet so...

Click here to view the TweetKnicks don't know "How ? " to play THE GAME !
*lol
So they should lie to LMA and tell him they don't intend to use him at C? I don't get your point here.Point is he didnt play Center at Portland
you need to work with thatNY does not even have a PF, despite Melo playing that 4 spot
if you are Knicks and you want a try at stud LA, you'll need to be flexible from Knicks point of view
is the point.Center ?
why is that important in NBA East ? or even NBA at this stage
Let the man play 4 spot with minor rare occassion at center, move MELO back to #3 spotYou'd think that wouldn't work ?
where did the Amare -Center and Melo work ?
This means Phil views kp is our starting PF and I like it
Right, kindly respectively you've forgot clarifying Phils views KP is our starting PF at about 2017 or 2018 earliest date
if KP puts on the beef by 2017/18
