Knicks · Kristaps Porzingis Starting To Fill Out Already? (page 2)

It's possible for the Knicks to have KP play as a SF on offense but a PF on D. Teams switch up defensive assignments all the time. It's all up in the air. SF/PF/C all depends on the match ups. Some teams aren't big at all and others play big lineups.

i think you can tell in his face that he will put on more weight. something about his face, to me, shows that he's still on his way to filling out.

if you look at his brother, his brother is fairly skinny, but a bit more solid overall

Have you seen some of the guys who have played SF? Obviously, against LeBron, no it doesn't make sense to have him play SF on defense.

He is 7'3. He is quick, but fast enough to be chasing wings like Rudy gay, Harris, Haywood, Nick young, Aminu? I don't think so.

so we'll just double team, switch, play zone ... fisher's got this.

Just like how he got us the worst defensive team in the NBA?

Knicks actually did defend PnR better and after the trade they looked a lot better defensively. Giving Fish more talent is going to pay huge dividends. He's not a bad coach as some think. This was mostly about the Roster.

he really has done nothing for anyone to think that he may be a good coach.

All you can really say at this point is that it was (possibly) the roster that made him look so terrible.

I guess. He has more solid defenders for next season, so there really should not be any excuses.

Nice little mini report from Galloway on KP and Jerian.

Whats crazy is im average height....and grant was clearly 4inches taller than me.....when i met him in person. Zinger makes grant look like a midget.

His legs don't look too spindly, which I'll take as a good sign. He needs to fill out his chest a little, but that'll come with age.

I hope the Knicks really focus on developing his body with him.

Does anyone remember that Phil was trying to fire the medical and training staff that was in place when he first got here? Anyone know if that happened?

He's been back to full work outs for a few days he apparently never stopped lifting.

Bonn1997 @ 7/6/2015 9:30 PM
Well that's good
fishmike @ 7/6/2015 9:42 PM
KP doesn't need to fill out. Watch his game. You don't want this guy adding muscle for the sake of it. Stupid. He's fast long and athletic. Here's an idea... let him be fast long and athletic. Dude is a 7'3 deer. He runs and jumps like Raja Bell or a small out there, then you see he's taller than everyone else.

Just get him on the floor so he can score, learn the system, learn the league, don't get hurt... that's year 1.

Berman has a new article on the home page that says he hasn't decided if he will participate in the Summer League. It also said he is not going to play for the Latvian National Team this summer.

I'm sure he'll play in SL as long as he's healthy. Too much pent up excitement to get started for a kid that LOVES basketball. If doctors say he's cleared, I expect he'll play.

If he doesn't play he's got a reasonable injury in his hip regardless of any report.terrible way to start not even worth watching to be honest. Next it will be he might be avail by Christmas

I wouldn't panic over what Berman wrote. For one thing as I posted above KP is actually working out as Galloway stated that "he's looking real good". We'll see what happens but I think perhaps Berman is going off old info.

Some Porzingis "beefcake."
