Knicks · Going into this season with an open mind about Phil (page 3)

Good article. It's exactly right about being patient and playing the long game. We need to start building out the team with the future in mind. Melo and his fanbase can be part of that solution or they can continue to be part of the problem. Personally it doesn't matter to me which. He was given the contract a d will continue to eat up or cap space, so damage already done.

Having said that I am excited that we are moving forward instead of moving backwards to further justify bad decisions from the past.

Another article from the Washington Post with a positive take on the Knicks offseason. Just posting links as there are lots of charts and graphics that I don't know how to copy.

Yeah I read both articles and it follows in a new line of articles that have media starting to take note of what Phil is doing with the roster. While some can quibble over a move or two the overall picture of what Phil has done is that of a solid and sound rebuild. The team is younger and more talented but not fancy with big names. Just a lot of solid players who should lift the play of the team.

There's also a LOT of talent in there that hasn't had a chance yet to develop. The upside for this team is much greater than what it looks like right now just looking at the older vets. We've got a few really talented young players that need to have a chance to develop and show what they can do. The talent is there tho.
