We already have Grant and Langston at the pg position. We can only develop so many people at one time.
very solid trade, with Tony Parker's age/injury concerns, they need a PG that is capable of penetrating/scoring/facilitating to run their OFFENSE
a 3rd year pro, Mccullum can do just that and makes peanuts, Spur's continue to find the combination of youth for future development and vets to balance their roster

Langston is NO point guard. hes a streaky SG masquerading in a PG body. McCullum doesnt need to be developed. hes ready now
