zero drama ... wait til Melo, err, Melo's 'people' start asking for a trade.

Hi Eny...
WaltLongmire @ 7/11/2015 12:51 PM
Doesn't the "uproar" by some over the L. Thomas signing count as "drama?"
smackeddog @ 7/11/2015 1:12 PM
There has been zero drama since Shump and JR were traded- hope it continues

lol. You could really say only 2 of the 30 teams (Dallas and LAC) have drama right now.

good to hear from you sir!

I think this is a lunch pale blue collar group with a nice core of young talent, some if it is quite high ceiling. We need a bounce back big scoring year from the favorite son and I feel pretty good about making the playoffs at the least. That could be with a sub .500 record I admit...

Melo supposedly being upset over the KP draft pick? Isiah Thomas becoming President of the Liberty and the media hounding Phil Jackson about it? You could say this is all media garbage and everyone on the Knicks is happy (and they may be). But with all teams we rely on what the media reports. I'd say both those examples have to count as at least a slight amount of drama. Even just having to deal with the media reports constitutes a little drama.

Only if the fans feed into it....

the media has been absolutely wrong all year when it comes to the Knicks. Absolutely wrong. They are trying to spin us around, in return we fight amongst ourselves based on lies they pump out there.

They were wrong about every move we were supposed to be involved with and they had zero info on the moves that were made.

Right now if you unplug the garbage the media throws out here, the Knicks are quietly in fantastic shape.

We really have come around and built a team in the right direction. We have replaced stupid players in JR, Smith,Thjr and Stoudemire and replaced them with HIGH character and HIGH IQ players in Afflalo, Lopez, and OQuinn. We have also added two superstar potential prospects in Jerian Grant and Kristaps Porzingis. I'm upset at certain moves, but overall I'm happy with the way Phil handeled themselves in free agency. I hope Phil can continue this into next years free agency because we can still obviously get better. It really just comes down to

-Carmelo Anthony:
Can he actually step his game up even further and become a player who will
-become a lot more team oriented
-take less stupid shots
-Show the slightest sense of leadership and have a Postive influence on our young buckets.
If Melo can do all of this(but he won't) and stay relatively healthy throughout the season, we actually have a decent chance of making the playoffs.

-The Triangle:
-Fisher needs to take out the options that have them take the mid range jumpshots, and to tell his players to stop positioning themselves JUST inside of the 3pt line. It makes 0 sense whatsoever taking long 2s instead of a 3.

Anyone who will get more cheers and applause at MSG than Melo, Melo will hate that player, freeze him out and then try to sabotage him off the roster.

Kyle O'Quinn is a type of player who can be a "fan favorite" Sort of like a Brian Scalabrine or Kurt Rambis type, except every cheer for him will only incite Melo.

If Zinger has a stretch of nice games and articles talk about him being the future of the Knicks, Melo will freak out, go crazy, then you'll see CAA planted articles about no one is sure a black man can be accepted as a franchise player in the city of NY. (Melo actually tried to force feed everyone that kind of shill job through Leon Rose and CAA when Linsanity happened)

When Jerian Grant hustles and gives 300 percent on a non stop motor, and when the press wonders why Melo can't work that hard or put out that much effort, suddenly you'll get "private internal source" who say Grant isn't that humble and isn't that much of a team guy.

The Knick have no TEAM with Melo on it. He's not a team player. He represents what's wrong with pro basketball under the David Stern era.

The movement and spacing in the Triangle is fine. We were missing a low post presence and penetrators that balance the type of shots we take. It's not by design that we took too many mid range shots. That was due to the limitations of the players we had who for the most part were mid range shooters. If you put a 3pt shooter in the same sequence they will gravitate to the 3 pt line. The same with players that naturally want to penetrate and attack the basket. The options are always there.

This. Also, a lot of young talent on the Knicks. It is a lot more fun watching a team with first round picks in the summer league.

Unfair, over the top. Melo has an ego like many top athletes but he is NOT this divisive, negative, uncaring teammate. If anything, he has been a good soldier who has competed hard despite the mediocrity that surrounds him. Calling him a chucker may be fair but this team needs a alpha dog given the dearth of real talent.
