I think they are doing the wrong thing by letting him sit so long and bringing him back in with 4 mins left. He's going to be stiff if he sits too long. Short mins in the first half.....Then let him play extended minutes in the second half. I knew when he came into the game, it was going to be a bad day for him. But like Briggs said, he's 19....lots of tread on those tires. Still have to keep in mind hes 7'3....Players that tall usually come with long term injuries.

All of the other big time draft picks have had opportunity to get 10-15 fga. I know kp hasn't played many minutes but maybe take the wrap off a bit today and let him go 25-28 maybe 4 6-7 minute qs.
KP is tired out there no way he can go more than 25 minutes did you noticed his missed free throws a shooter lime that doesn't miss so many free throws unless he is fatigued.
19 years old you can play all day. 25 minutes is fine.
KP has been a low-usage, high efficiency player in low minutes. Would love to see them increase his minutes and give him a ton of touches and let him make some mistakes and play through it. No point in limiting his minutes if he says he's fine just to temper expectations of fans. It's summer league, no matter what happens, most of us get it. 25 mins and running some offense through him at this point is the right way to go.

Boxing out requires upper body strength that he doesn't have.....I was able to box out Jordan Hill, and said he's going to be overrated in the NBA. Hill is stronger than KP. It's going to take time. Thats an easy fix, but not a quick fix.
Kareem who is the same size as kp 7-2 230 played 20 years in the NBA had mega high usage his first 10 and could still play close to 30 in his early 40 s. If he's hurt than OK. If he's not lets get this kid going and ramp it up a tax. 25-28 minutes for a couple of games isn't going to do anything but help him.

He's always played low minutes....even before he was drafted. So you can't put him in a league that faster and stronger and increase his minutes. It's a process.....And Knick fans are very impatient. But I think his minutes are exactly what he needs right now. I just don't like how they are distributing his playing time. He sat too long last game.....Should've came in as a PF with Kirk as a center. Need to see how he looks playing PF....

boxing out does not just using the upper body. Legs are crucial.

Yeah, the minutes they are giving him are fine for now.
Would like him hitting 25+MPG by the end of the year.
I would like Kirk to get some more minutes and see what he can do. Needs to lose weight, but is much more skilled than what I had anticipated from him.
Maybe Kirk becomes our Luc Longley and Ndour our Rodman...
"Poor man's" versions, but a man has the right to hope...
OK4 vs Kris and Grant vs Wilbrkin. Can't wait
great d by kristaps on ok4
boy he is giving ok4 fits so far
How is that not an offensive foul??
I like his defense once he gets stronger it will get easier to stand his ground
StarksEwing1 wrote:I like his defense once he gets stronger it will get easier to stand his ground
agreed
he missed that very long three but it was right on and his range is unlimited.
I'm missing it, whats going on
mreinman wrote:he missed that very long three but it was right on and his range is unlimited.
thats ok he seems to be very disciplined when it comes to shot selection
ok4 is really polished in the post but so is al jefferson. what else can he do?
mreinman wrote:ok4 is really polished in the post but so is al jefferson. what else can he do?
not much, thats pretty much his whole game but he is lethal in the paint. I prefer towns or KP because they do other things well
