Terrible, terrible play today by the youngsters
KP was pretty good today. Very active. He's still got so much to learn and of course he's got to fill out but he's been very solid in SL. Too bad the Knicks had their worst game so far today of all days. This was a really bad shooting night.
was that galdakakis or what ever his name is? number 44
meloanyk wrote:Wheteher you like his game or not, Melo is a the straw that stirs the drink. KP, Grant and the newbies on the regular season team will benefit from him
dont really agree, its about the team now. Melos problem is that besides scoring he doesnt do much else, he needs to change that even if that means sacrificing scoring

It was the bench, mainly.

agreed. He still worked his ass off on defense and the boards. He simply didnt get the rolls today, it happens

First off his 3 point shot is a LINE DRIVE its not a great-looking shot. He doesnt have the mobility to be a stretch 4 and for the cats here who think hes a 3--well you're way off.
Kristaps Porzingis is a 5-4 who will need to develop into a pure 5. His focus taking 4 3's UGGGHHHHHGGHH!! this game was BRUTAL--I think it effected his whole game.
Hes got to stay in the low post--get used to it get stronger learn the footwork and the skills and STAY FA FAR FAR away from the 3 pt line
I expected a game like this. If the Knicks think this guy is taking 6 3's a game they might as well have traded the pick. Low post to mid range or we can develp Bargs #2. By the way Porgs shot right now is NO where and I mean NO where near Myles Turner's jump shot or overall game
Also Karl Towns made mistakes by setting up deep early in the SL. Last game if anyone watched--he used his inside game EFFECTIVELY.
This kid needs to watch film on how Pau Gasol and Kevin Mchale play basketball. He thinks hes a 30 foot jumpshooter. That my friend 1-7 4 3's IS soft EURO
Thansis Ledo Kirk are all crp.
Dang it you say some dumb stuff sometimes.
What that I dont want my C shooting 30 foot line drive 3's? His 3 point shot even open in-game is not a thing of beauty. I dont want to experiment with KP. I simply want him taking high% shots from the mid range to post. get used to finding open men rebound block shots. Simplify it. The 3 point shot should NOT be part of his arsenal right now. 7-3 guys should be dunking laying balls up taking nice mid range shots thats it.

part of what made him shoot up the draft board is his outside shooting ability so telling him to stop is stupid. You are overreacting to one off game
I wonder what they did on their day off yesterday. Also, I wish Bray would get some time because the Barron is not doing it for me. I hope the best for him and his family though.
The starters had a lot of open looks not go in and N'dour forced a few but overall I liked their effort and play. The second unit is not worth mentioning. I worry that Ledo will not make it through the summer. He is a very sloppy player. Pretty mush the whole second unit is sloppy.

Based on the things that media types were saying about KP I was fearful of his toughness. He's MUCH more willing to get in there than I thought. He still can get tossed around since he's so light but he's tough as nails tho. I'm really excited about KP's upside as he develops.

that is just silly.
our young forward should take any shot that he can hit at an efficient rate.
so glad you have zero to do with running this team.

Mentioned it somewhere else...where is that little pick and pop midrange shot Jayson Smith was getting from Calderon at one point in the season?

you keep mentioning that but that should not be the feature. I know that you and other thought Jason was great at it but it was terribly inefficient.
again, I am fine with it sometimes but those shots are being fazed out of most modern offenses and for good reason.

me too. I will be honest drafting euro players high in the draft makes me nervous but so far Porzingis has shown it was the right move. I love his mental makeup. He is very competitive and very smart for a 19 year old

Yeah that two man game flare mid range J has to go but I like the back side flash jumper at the free throw line.

I like that shot better but I hope they are going to be more dynamic than that.
I really worry about the offensive sets that we run compared to the better teams.

He was in for the last 1:30. He is 44. Did he get in before that? I only saw the fourth quarter.

I did not see him earlier.
He made one big bonehead play to end the game.
Not sure why they don't care to get a real look at him.
