I haven't seen anything from either person. Phil didn't like him not having surgery sooner is not a big deal to me.

It just seems weird how almost everything contradicts itself when it comes to Melo and people.

Shump and Melo don't get along and he wants him gone yet they talk during the playoffs

Tyson dislikes melo but wants him on the Mavs.

Melo can't stand Hardaway but now that he is traded THjr was like his adopted son. He took THjr in after his father gave him another harsh scolding.

I was not talking about Melo and all those guys, of course crap will get reported.

I am talking about Phil. Phil hates stupid play and he hates insubordination from his stars. He hates when players refuse to accept a team concept.

Phil has gotta to be steaming.

When he fired Fish he told him that he should make the Triangle his own and introduce whatever tweaks he felt were needed. Phil did the same thing when he was coaching. He made tons of changes over the years depending on his roster. The underlying principles of the Triangle are pure basketball. Ball and Player movement. There's nothing stupid about it. It expect that Fish will have the team playing some really fun and exciting basketball this year.

That maybe true but he still needs to buy in and he won't. This thread is based on conjecture and there's nothing to support either side. But based on the article about why he traded JR/Shump it shows clearly that his mindset is towards team oriented two way players which Melo is not. I thik its less about being at odds and more about Phil doing what Phil does. We finally have someone with a bigger ego and more credibility than Melo - so this year will definitely show some fireworks.

We'll see what happens with Melo next season. With Porzingis in the mix it will be interesting. We're all playing the guessing game here, in the off season, not much else to do.

Team oriented yes, two-way players, I do not see the connection. Those two players had attitude problems that affected the players around them and it seems that THjr and Fisher did not connect.

The Melo buying in or not buying in is all conjecture. We do not know if he bought in or not.

I zenned my way into phils head and felt what he was thinking. Kind of wild sh1t going on in there.

I don't think Melo has issues with Phil, but it is obvious that CAA does, which is why they keep implanting these fake stories and having their mouthpiece Stephen A. Smith constantly badmouthing Phil. I think they obviously want Phil gone so that things can go back to the good Ole days where they basically ran the franchise with an open checkbook. I don't think Melo gives a cap so long as his business interest are good and he gets his $124 million.

There's nothing about the Triangle that stops a team from taking 3's or getting to the basket in fact getting to the basket it is the primary goal of the Triangle. The problem was that our players weren't doing it right. In terms of efficiency Phil's teams were as efficient as any team today and they were able to remain efficient in the post season.

The Triangle as a base offense can be tweaked and has been tweaked to make it better over the years and as we see they're still adding things to the offense. Don't go off last year when everything went wrong and we gutted the roster. You'll be making assumptions based on all the wrong things.

Come on man! That's not what Phil thinks. He's often talked about the fact that there is more than one way to win. He loves what the Spurs do and was complementary of the Warriors and Hawks. When he fired Fish he told him that he should make the Triangle his own and introduce whatever tweaks he felt were needed. Phil did the same thing when he was coaching. He made tons of changes over the years depending on his roster. The underlying principles of the Triangle are pure basketball. Ball and Player movement. There's nothing stupid about it. It expect that Fish will have the team playing some really fun and exciting basketball this year.

and we discussed that having shaq and gasol shooting 70% from the field may have helped that efficiency and that this is no longer 5 years ago.

Again, lets see if they lead in that category again because now with this team that you are so happy with and with you believe in the triangles efficiency, there will be no excuse to lead in that stat again.
