I like most of the players- hard working and can play defense. Only ones who I'm iffy with are D-Williams and Ledo

Just too early for me to answer this. Got to see the new folk do some things in a Knicks jersey before I get too interested in them. We don't even know what the full roster will be, either.

Will be hoping everyone plays well.

Would love to be proven wrong about Anthony and see him rise to the occasion and play within a system that should still allow him to get his points. Would like to see him finally reach 4APG...if he exceeds this and heads toward 5 I will increase my aspirin regime intake because I might just have a hear attack.

I always tend to root harder for our younger players, and we have a younger team than usual this year- so you have a lot of young'uns to watch grow.

O'Quinn is intriguing to me- my gut feeling is fans will love this guy, and so will I. Also like the fact that he's a local Queens boy who went though our public school system.

Lopez and Aflalo are both intelligent guys based on the interviews I have seen with them and both will be popular with our beat writers, as will O'Quinn.

Interesting group to root for.

Best of all there is nothing like watching hater fans squirm uncomfortably like a toddler denying there is poop in his diaper because their team is galvanized by the play of the guy they so loath. Im sure there will be plenty of "Jose is the real MVP" type threads but those make for pleasant reading when you look at what gets posted these days

Ehh, he'll be gone by the all star break.

Its going to really sting when KP is talking about his fast track development and the 15ppg he's averaging as a rookie when he says "its easy getting open shots playing next to Carmelo"

Well... not for me it wont.

If Lopez is such an intelligent player how come he has never averaged even 1 assist per game for his career? Why hasnt he taken the time to develop a 12 footer or even a semblance of a post move? He lives off of others generosity. A post player who avg 2 FT a game is very poor--that means hes not generating offense at all. Hes a Tyson Chandler lite.

LOL, hey if it results in KP getting his own Sustain Tshirt, I'm all for it.

Team, fish. All about the team before anything else. If Melo sacrifices for the betterment of the whole, I won't rag on your homeboy.

We'll see how Melo handles this upcoming season, if the media shine slowly shifts to the Latvian Legend. We all don't need reminders last time that happened...

I do believe he was talking about their personalities. He didn't mention their games. He did say intelligence based on the interviews he's seen.

I'm late but I love the whole roster. I dig every player except Calderón, but I was excited about him last season before the season started. I'm hoping the guys all gel and buy in. We have a good group of guys here now....good meaning their personalities mesh. Same type of selfless, workmans types that all have something to prove.

Your boy Kanter has averaged 0.6 assists for his career.

Talking about interviews and that kind of thing...I know some of the analytics crowd have pulled up some stats that indicated his value is a little more than some think it is.

Hopefully he shows some things he has not shown previously.

For what it is worth, I thought Amundson, despite some blips, played better in the Triangle than he had done elsewhere.

We will see. Hopefully you are not correct on him and he shows he can do more than in the past.

I don't think he has a back to the basket game, where he would generate most of those assists kicking it back out. He cleans up and finishes. He blocks shots and rebounds ok. Judging by how his team mates saw him as the glue over in Portland, I'm going to say that he probably does what he does really well and doesn't exactly fill up the stat sheet. e.g., working hard boxing out getting Aldridge extra rebounds.

Clearly Phil has gone with the non big name star and youth route. It wasn't likely that we would get one of the big names to come here and in the end only one top guy left his team. He had a sound plan for what he'd do if none of the bigger names came, which was the most likely scenario anyway. You have to at least try to see if there's interest but plan for how you'll build without any of the bigger names.

Now this roster is more about the future than the present but there is a nice balance to the age of the roster and the ability to win even now and the next few years.

Papabear Says

LOL he has gone without the big names because none wanted to come here.

KP this and KP that. I sure hope Krispy lives up to the hype many are giving him.

Anyway my favorites are Melo, RoLo, Grant, Afflalo, and Early. I hope the Knicks get Ndour.

I'm not sure he will be a knick. Fisher said he was not going to get set camp invite because of the loaded positions .

Can we trade players we just signed.....I would trade any one of these guys....

Lance, Amundson, Ledo, Calderson, etc... for Ndour.

Moonangie @ 7/22/2015 9:14 AM
KP, then Grant, then Me7O, then whoever plays D and grabs boards.
fishmike @ 7/22/2015 9:23 AM
in all seriousness I just want to see the team play well. I want to see the young guys stay healthy and progress and the newly signed guys do what they were brought here for. If those things happen and guys stay relatively healthy the Knicks will be a .500 ish playoff team. Calderon, RLopez, Afflalo and Melo are all good players and if they stay healthy are a good start. KP, Galloway, Grant and Early are all young guys ready to help in supporting roles. Season will come down to health and chemistry. Im very interested to see what adjustments Fisher makes and what kind of rotation we see. Every guy was signed by Phil on this roster... we should start to see some better team/system ball.
