Ognjen Kuzmic--I didn't know he was available. Id go this way but it will cost part(or probably all) of the 2.8mm exception(maybe 2 years 4.5-5.6mm). He is huge 7-1 245 and only 25. Here is a snippet for the D league championship game --he has a lot of skills for the triangle. Hes an RFA so wed have to pay up a tad but at 2.25-2.5 I think its good money spent.

Nice find Briggs. Kid looked really active around the basket and has a heck of a turn around jumper but it is against SL talent but still showed some good talent in that video.

Hes skilled for the triangle mid range jump shot good passer big body. Good around the hoop defensively gets up and down the floor rebounds. He just needs a chance to play. If we gave him the 2.8 GS probably wouldnt match as it would cost them 7.5mm with taxes.

Wow giving him the 2.8 would be a pretty big chance for us to take. Does this kid have any experience in the NBA outside of SL?? Where did he play last year?? I definitely like what i saw in that video but that's like two edited minutes in a SL game.

^^^^Warriors had a great draft in 12. They got him with Barnes, Ezeli and Green.

He looks great but don't the Warriors own his rights?

Restricted FA you need to pay a little more. In the NBA paying 2 mm or 4mm what is the difference? It doesnt really change anything--doesnt change a budget etc.. its like taking a 7-1 C with the 9th pick in the draft. 4.5mm for 2 years is a small contract. Mosgov got more than that before he played 1 game in the NBA.

I would have no issue with giving him the full 2.8 mil. I just wonder if GS would let him go. He seems like a very nice young C, so why would they let us take him?

Am I the only one that notices we need a backup scoring shooting guard? If we don't fill this need we will have trouble scoring all year and I never hear anyone on the Knicks acknowledge this gaping hole on our roster.

We have Affalo and Galloway? Im hoping the Knicks can swap a deal for Eric Green he can play both positions.

Golden State is at the tax line--it would cost them roughly 7mm $ to keep him above his salary.

Probably just reading too much into a tweet by someone with a NYK connection. I don't see it happening either, especially since Phil tried to do right by Pablo and send him to a contender last year.

OK but if you were GS wouldn't you do that for a young big with his ability? I just don't know why they'd let this guy go given his ability for just $7 mil. Don't get me wrong i'd love it if they let him go to us but I just don't think that GS would do that.

Well i think it's pretty obvious that others think we need another SG since Phil has shown a lot of interest in guys like J.Jenkins, E.Williams, W.Green and some others so no you're not the only one.

I'd like to add Brand. I'm not sure how much he has left in the tank, but he is a leader. He's being many to the same intangibles I hoped David West would bring.

not a bad idea. as we saw when we added Kidd, KT, Rasheed, etc., Melo needs adults in the locker room to keep him in check.

It also wouldn't hurt Zingers development on both sides of the ball. Brand always had a knack for seeing the angles on both side of the ball.

Ron Ron just posted that the warriors rescinded their qualifying offer to Kuzmic.
