Antiaircraft he liked like he's always did. He did lose some bounce but he's still a presence inside. He's strong, bangs and rebounds well. He could still start in this league and would be great off any teams bench. Knicks have alot of fwd right now but I still think we could use him

He lost a lot. His reaction time is slow. Right now, he would only be a locker room presence. Similar to what Herb was with us.

Herb Williams? Boozer mom is going to spank you for disrespecting her son like that. Calling someone Herb williams is a insult. He was due for retirement before he even became a knick.

nothing wrong with adding another 4 with offensive ability who we could potentially flip for a 2nd rounder at the deadline. thats of course if he puts up good numbers..low risk if you ask me.

Sure, why not add another PF to our roster!

Maybe he can bring back that fake spray paint hair he had in Chicago since we need a new character with Shumpert's hair gone.

Boozer was a guy who when he was drafted was thought to be too unathletic to make it in the league. That proved wrong but now age has robbed him of the little athleticism he had. He can still score but he is absolutely terrible on defense. He makes Amare look like a good defensive player. We should pass.

We could pass if we were looking for him to play 35 mins a night and carry the offense. We would need him to compliment the other front court guys and provide leadership. The Knicks actually have decent depth already at forward. AMUNDSON and O'Quinn could play some center. With Boozer though, knicks would have that extra offensive punch either starting or off the bench. Start O'Quinn at the 4 with Boozer off the bench sounds good. It allows Kristaps to get some room to breathe a little.

I always wanted Kevin Seraphin...

Names are starting to pop up as guys that might be waived/traded because their deals become guaranteed. It will be interesting to see what the Knicks do. From what I have read it sounds like they want vets but maybe they pick up a young guy.

That's why it makes no sense to cry about players, especially previously unknown summer league guys. Plenty of talent and time to evaluate.

With the way this franchise experience's injury issues, we really need to have a real back up center that can play starters minutes at any point.

I would rather have him here rather than derricks williams. At least he has a great post game and is a great rebounder and passer. Can't say any of that for derricks williams.

TPercy @ 7/30/2015 9:21 AM
At this point there is no point in getting him our power forward and small forward positions are filled.

We literally have 6 guys that can play PF. We, however, have only one legitimate center and one legitimate SG. We need a center and a 6'7" type SG before we need to take a flyer on Boozer. Plus, KP needs to get 10 minutes a game by February (he should be ready for regular rotation minutes by then).

We also only have play maker that could penetrate and finish, with the ability to create for his own shot, for the team, and the skills to facilitate
And that is a "rook"

With 0 DOMINANT POST player either, so how will we get high % and high quality shots consistently?
Phil Jackson would have NEVER coached this roster and would hibernate in "retirement" till he had the pieces to actually contend but he puts his disciple in Derek Fisher in such a position...
The Triangle isn't the only system that gets TEAM PLAY, get good shots, with a TEAM PHILOSOPHY, many systems can achieve that..
While we are putting the system first, that will take a couple years to develop the skills/system/chemistry of the players, despite NOT HAVING THE TALENTS TO EXECUTE THE TRIANGLE like we did not have LAST YEAR
With Phil Jackson's salary, ANY GM could have done the things he did with our roster, many posters here could have done the same job he did and possibly even do a better job than Phil Jackson...

How many players do have that has the ability to consistently draw double teams right now?
It is a myth that CA consistently draws double teams, he would rather dribble dribble, pull up with a contested shot, a reason why Jeremy Lin was able to lead his lack of talent team better than CA was able to do that year known as Linsanity

With speed/quickness and a handle, many guards can draw double teams, that is why Houston got James Harden and still traded for Ty Lawson, while we do not have any player of that caliber...

There are just no minutes for Boozer and if you are going to grab a guy for the end of the bench, you might as well take a flyer on a young guy. We need to develop O'Quinn, D. Williams, and KP at the PF spot, and we still have Admundson and Thomas. This season needs to be about developing our young players. Boozer is not going to fit into that, and we are trying to develop a defensive-minded team and Boozer is not going to fit into that either. Signing Boozer does not make any sense to the long-term or short-term goals of the team.
