We need a true 6'6" wing player that can play both ends of the court. I don't know if this kid can ever be that guy. If one is available, we should trade thanasis

That leaves us very heavy with forwards and very light with guys who can actually move to the guard position. We only have 5 players capable of playing PG or SG. I am a little surprised with this signing but i'm sure the partial guarantee is worth holding onto him longer while they figure this out. But we now have 10 players who will be in the front court only, and 5 in the back court. Will be interesting to see how this is balanced out.

I've assumed there was a handshake agreement with Thanasis when he opted to stay in Westchester instead of signing a contract overseas that we would either bring him in this year or even at the end of last season. All speculation, but I'd like to think we'd honor a deal like that.
For a 14/15th man, why not. He plays hard at least. Partial guarantee. If he bombs, I'm sure it's not a contract we can't eat if we need the roster spot.

Yeah. I think they might like Saunders but they set him up with some money to help with the monetary sacrifice of staying in Westchester.

Agreed. I have to think the deals we have Lance and Lou are of the same mindset - rewarding the guys that came in, stayed professional, and worked their butts off with a little extra than min. Goes a ways to making your team attractive to players again.

Thanasis made some nice stops in SL. Team needs someone athletic with fouls to give. He really wanted to make the team, bet he will play hard when given the opportunity.

Thanasis really looked good when they played 4 out 1 in against the Bucks. He could be aggressive and drive to the basket with all that space. Fish did that on purpose and I would guess they were testing how that scheme would work for some of the athletic guys. Maybe they use that with some looks off the bench.

Have you seen him handle and shoot the ball? jeez. Even if he is a shooting guard, when caledron or grant goes down you will be fine with a scrub like vuajnic playing big minutes. Okay. I can see that we have all settled to lick Phil's balls no matter what. Let's see what happens during the season.
