What a great example of leadership by Me7o

It's good to see KP in the states and getting some court time with Melo. Hopefully even more of the team will soon be getting together. I wanna see KP and Jerian come in as prepared and confident as possible. We're gonna need them.

boy MElo and KP can shoot the shit out of it... IF we can get any real ball movement and break down defenses these guys will look like they are shooting jumpers in a gym. Fingers crossed

Damn! KP just put on his Knicks jersey for the first time today and he is already annoyed with Melo's shot selection.

Nice. Fingers crossed they build chemistry and dominate.

Then you put a talented guard like Jerian in the mix and it's a nice looking top of the rotation for the next few years. They may need time to gel but I like the talent they have going forward. It's not just about year one. I'm pulling for these guys to have a great year which would set this team up for the future.

Anthony's need to rehab, and KPs decision to stay here to work out and lift weights instead of playing for the Latvian team can not only help the Knicks basketball-wise, but also be part of a bonding process for these two.

On a less serious note...I'm told that Kristaps has been talking to Anthony about the importance of plaid sports jacket, and has suggested to Carmelo that he incorporate a backpack as a fashion accessory when he's out and about with LaLa.

Dammit ain't one but we mov do passed calling him Zingsr

LOL, this is great. Really sounds like fun.

And Melo outshot him! (Round 1) KP has a goal now. Getting to play with Melo must be special for him.
Hopefully he gets to the point (Maybe on offense) where he causes problems for Melo in practice.
Gonna make him a better player, both of them... And now learning the American Triangle, fun fun.

It is fun. That's how you get better. You have to beat the man to be the man

Porzin6is sounds like a smart kid.

At center, Porzingis, the fourth-overall pick, didn’t show off his 3-point marksmanship, launching just five treys in four games, making one.

“Maybe some 3s I received the ball and passed it back, I was kind of open,’’ Porzingis said. “It was early in the offense, I passed the ball and all the fans were, ‘Oohh, shoot it.’ I don’t want to take early shots. I could’ve popped more [on pick-and-rolls], but I rolled more times. … Once I start learning the triangle better and reading the situations better, I can get more open 3-point shots. I don’t want to force it yet.’’

Knicks rookie point guard Jerian Grant also has worked out with Anthony. While speculation surfaced Anthony disapproved of the Porzngis pick, The Post reported he was more disappointed his buddy Tim Hardaway Jr. was traded on draft night for Grant, whom he hadn’t really seen play.

“He’s been a great, great leader — he’s the star, but at the same time one of the guys,’’ Grant said. “He’s been working out with us. He’s welcomed me with open arms.’’

Said Porzingis: “Melo’s a great guy. I’m happy to be around him.’’

This is just the Knicks making up for Melo mistakes. They are making theses kids say this stuff to cover up the real.

Also, someone said Early and Vujacic were working out with them too.

What happened to that thread that blasted him for not reaching out to the rookies?

But he didn't let him win...bad leadership

Nice to know that the rooks are building chemistry with him and melo is working hard this off season. Very impressed with what Porgy said, based on Summer league play, and his interviews and his reports, he sounds like a very high IQ player. Hopefully with all the additions of high IQ and character players (minus derrick williams of course and Seraphin(Iq) it can rub off on Melo.
