Looking at the schedule, there aren't a lot of what I'd call easy wins. This could be another rough year. I could see 25-30 wins, maybe.

Without knowing how good which teams will be until we get going into the season then it's hard to say how tough our schedule is but by going on who was good last year i'd say our March schedule looks pretty tough.

Well constructed team by Jackson - I suspect we'll be around 102-3 ppg, assuming the triangle doesn't claim any more victims. We're limited by Fisher and the rookies' curves. I'm still bullish at ~ 45 wins barring injury.

looks like a tough schedule. i see 31-34 wins on paper.

35 wins if no major injuries.
NYKBocker @ 8/13/2015 10:08 AM
I am one of those optimistic fans. 52+ wins.
Knixkik @ 8/13/2015 10:15 AM
One game at a time. 41-41 should be the goal. It's a tough schedule but this is the NBA where any team can beat any team on a given night. We need to stay healthy.
crzymdups @ 8/13/2015 10:18 AM
This is going off of last year's records and such... but according to one metric the Knicks have the 9th hardest schedule in the league.

I think 40+ wins is possible and playoffs are possible if a LOT goes right. IT certainly can. We shall see.

It better go right.....I think Knick fans have suffered enough. It's time for that to change! I think Grant is better than what we are seeing. Fisher is the key to Grant and KP's development. I think Grant as a rookie, has as much of an impact as Jose, plus he's not injury prone. I'm also thinking about betting on the Knicks making the playoffs. Right now, its easy to find takers. Even Vegas probably has us no making it. But once the season starts, if KP continues to grow, it's going to be harder to find anybody to bet against them. That’s why I'm calling bets before the season starts. Hope they don't let me down, like they have over the last 15 yrs. I'm betting on Fisher's development, since he was able to change up the triangle during the summer league, to cater towards Grant and KP's pick and roll game......Fisher allowing some triangle adjustment during SL was key to how he should approach the regular season! Substitutions are my only fear. For some reason, his substitution pattern kills Knick momentums. Like taking KP out, after hitting multiple shots. Vs. Leave him in the game, and ride his hot hand. I hope that was just a SL thing.

key is can we adapt to new roster and they adapt to new system in first 20 games. Same goes for many other teams with big personal change.
Even if we out of the playoff hunt the last 20 games if healthy will be a good measure to if the team imporoved as the season want along.

I'd be thrilled to go from 17 games to 37-40 wins!!! I'd also like to see a healthy team and see a team finish strong in the season as my true measure.

If we go 6-14
then 8-12
Then 10-10
and finish 14-8....

That's 38 wins! Likely not playoff but a huge improvement over year before. If not reliant on old Vets like our 54 win season, but with Dwilliams, Grant, KP and Melo all playing solid ball then the season would be a success in my book.
This is something you can sell to potential free agents.

I'm already bracing myself for November so I don't get depressed
Nalod @ 8/13/2015 11:37 AM
No preseason games? Nalod got a business trip to NYC in October and would love to see a preseason game.

Don't think they've announced the pre-season schedule. I think each team sets their own, usually. I know the Knicks are supposedly hosting a team from Brazil at MSG.

agreed. If they make some strides and look like a young, fun, dangerous team that plays hard and is at least a threat to make the playoffs, I think they can attract more FA in 2016 and 2017.
