I am into Fanduel but not as much as past for
mainly MLB, then NFL and NBA. Have won but nearly has not lost as much as few winnings.
Draftkings getting bigger push in 2015
What do you think about these Fantasy pro sport biggies ? Is it worth it ?\
Or has anyone won anything substantial ? over 100-$200
I have cooled on Fanduel (mlb) , still have funds however its seem like a crapshoot to
do anything else beside breaking even.
WFAN is even talking about Fantasy sports more than ever, & ESPN has their own fantasy pro sport shows on air television
Is Fantasy sports (betting) overhyped ? will it go away
Guess you have to look at it as breaking even long enough to win one of the big tournaments.
Crossing my fingers for the $1million and $10million NFL Week 1 tournaments on DraftKings.
Never did fantasy nor ever bet on a game. Being an Equity Money manager I find that dealing with any statistical analytics in my "spare" time is more like work, even if just for fun!
Im not slamming the industry nor its participants.
When I vacations I never go to a resort that has gambling. I don't want to be around that kind of energy. Casinos are the most miserable places I have ever visited. Its a realy bad vibe when I walk into one. I have tried many times to enjoy the activity but quite frankly casinos creep me out.
Even the UK Game picker is no fun. I do it for a while but the conflict of "being right" vs. rooting for the team is not fun after a while.
Baseball fantasy seems the most logical of the major sports given the heavy statistical nature of the game and team chemistry is the least important of the major leagues.
Basically the popularity is born from fans get a sense of empowerment from the creation of rosters and from the illusion of participating.
The House always wins.
There are many way to take peoples money and leave them with illusion that they can win.
If somebody likes the process he/she should pay for it... no brainier.
But if somebody does not... than it's the the pinnacle of stupidity.

Its a form of entertainment and the rush of wining/losing turns people on big time!
My wife and I were talking about it last nite and she asked with football "don't you have to like follow the players in college, and in the pro's to pick undervalued players to really win, and be lucky to boot?"
"yes hon"......
"that's a lot of work"!!!
I wish both of their commercials would disappear
