Not about to post the article, I know everyone has read it, and he fully admits to getting his ass kicked. That last year he broke his leg in the first handful of games to start the season, and once he came back the season was basically lost. To be honest, I didnt see anything wrong with what Tyson said that year...he wanted to be more included in the offense since after all Woodson was the one who sent him to train with Hakeem which he did in NY. neither Tyson nor Amare were tasked with plays in game to use those new skills so Woodson should have been called out.

I spent most of the season following his DPOY year defending Tyson on this board because he had also played in the Olympics, and Chandler had to deal with a lot on his plate in a short span. After that I saw a player who was glad just to have won a ring, a gold medal, and a DPOY. Nothing wrong with that of course, but the next season I saw a player who talked more than he delivered.

Hibbert actually is a better center, but Tyson shouldnt have been dominated like that, even though he was coming off an injury and was sick to which players on his team admitted he gets ill alot from being around his kids in-season. It makes sense now. What doesnt make sense is the feelings towards a player that the Knicks havent come close to replacing.

I posted a link to an article in the daily news from the following season when Tyson was criticizing Woodson in the media and going to mills trying to get Woodson fired. Seems like he might not be the guy to talk about playing for the coach or his teammates. Just my opinion.

Tyson said what everyone in the league said. Woodson switching defense was a joke. And obviously the team didnt adjust. ironically Tyson was one of Woodson supporters the year before....til he found out Woodson wasnt about his word. Tyson was miffed primarily about the gimmick offense. Woodson had Tyson and Amare train with Hakeem only for neither to used in the offense. idk, my superior send me to a class that I have to pay for and I dont get to use that training on my job I'd be pissed too.

We had some individuals playing well for long and not so long stretches.
But this does not mean sht... the team sucked year after year. Sometimes just mediocre but most of the time plain embarrassing.
A lot of players who came and go into this situation were unable to handle the losing culture, MSG bureaucratic hell, ever unsatisfied NY fans, and scandalous NY media.
One need the heart of stone and mind of philosopher to remain himself in this kind of settings.
So I do not have any problems with any of used to be Knicks... Let them be.
